Spiritual work, acceptance, understanding, not being judgmental, being passive. Passive people are stronger than you realize but it takes a spiritual person to understand the true nature of paradox. This is what the twelfth house is about. Anything hard to figure out. You can turn inward and develop great personal power by concentrating and becoming aware. I notice it's circumstance more than anything subconscious in synastry except for the fact twelfth house gets on my nerves. That's how I notice it most of all. People who's planets fall in my twelfth house get on my nerves more than those who don't and I get on theirs, too. I don't know how something like that can be controlled. Distance, maybe? It's SO HARD. I grew up with critical parents, and always criticized myself, and then it stemmed into criticizing other people. Astrologically, I'm here to learn how to follow my heart and not my head and to have more compassion (as if it was just a coincidence I ended up with a Gemini ASC and Virgo IC...) but it's so hard to be passive. I feel like I'm not being productive if I'm passive, or that I'm getting walked all over. I have Mars and Jupiter in the 12th house though. So 12th house is learning how to let go, and allow others to "work" instead of always participating? quote: I notice it's circumstance more than anything subconscious in synastry except for the fact twelfth house gets on my nerves. When this happens do you find you can't verbalize why they get on your nerves? It's more of an intuitive itch than anything?

I cannot be passive to save my lifeand then what do they mean by spiritual? I always see that word in relation to the 12th but what does it actually entail? IP: Logged |

Spiritual is when you give it over to a higher power and rely on unseen forces to take care of it or it can be simply meditating. It just depends on your definition. IP: Logged |

I'm like AriesKat - I'm compromising, but downright passive? It doesn't compute. I have Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus to Saturn aspects and even though they're squares (save for Moon trine) that's a lot of cardinal energy. IP: Logged |

What does turning it inwards mean SSS? I’ve read this so many times but I have not really been able to understand how to turn it inwards properly. IP: Logged |

Just space out and go into your own mind. I do it all the time. It's relaxing and fun. You can also do a lot of thinking. I also like the period between wakefulness and sleep. Do you space out before you drift off to sleep? What do you think about at this time? Are you aware of what goes on in your mind or do you transition from being awake to asleep very quickly and aren't aware of any variations in the way you think? IP: Logged |

I used to be able to play movies in my head for hours when I was a kid, my attention span is too short now. IP: Logged |

I like to let my mind roam. You can do that or concentrate on something. It's great to exercise the mind. You can try visualization. Think of something you saw earlier in the day and try to remember everything about it, even the minute details or think about what something is like you have never experienced before. That's my personal favorite.
