For example, my Mars is at the end of Taurus. How would conjunctions to Gemini planets work? Especially when it comes to a Gemini Mars. Would there be some kind of understanding between these two Marses?

I've always been curious about this, since I have quite a few planets at the end of a sign.

IME, the conjunction (and other aspects) are still felt, but there's a bit if a discrepancy, still. Some sort of unease.

They're still totally effective, though.

I've had my Taurus Mars conjunct someone's Gemini Mars, and it depends on the type of relationship I suppose... But in a romantic situation the physical attraction is still really strong and the energies do work well together

But in a way I think the differences between the signs can be amplified. Like the more stubborn or slow moving I was, the more restless and fast paced he would want to be lol. It was something we would bicker about but never caused any major problems

I think it makes a new kind of understanding, because for an example a late virgo sun might understand the energies of a libra, because the late virgo is on the cusp, so technically going to be libra..
I have both early and late planets, so I often make conjunction between signs with people, and I think they work just as much as in the same signs
My 29 pisces moon is often conjunct with people who has aries moon, and it's like I think they always reminds me more of a pisces moon like myself, I never think of them as being far from my own moon, so the conjunction is definitely felt!
