If so...how long have you been together and why is it mediocre or average? What do you think keeps you together?IP: Logged |

Yes, I have with my husband. We've been together 5 years. Our synastry has a lot of aspects said to be negative or just blah. We have Sun/Saturn Squares both ways. But I think this is what has kept us together. An aspect involving Saturn can be frustrating but the bond is very hard to break. You can try to walk away and always end up wanting the Saturn person again. It's a karmic placement..i think so anyways. Why do you ask? If you have a "mediocre" synastry with someone I wouldn't fret, I think you need the so- called bad aspects to create depth in a relationship. You don't have to love everything the other person does, but you at least accept it. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I have "so-so" synastry with the guy I'm dating. The funny thing is we don't have that many squares or oppositions. Mars sq Neptune, Venus sq. Sun & Saturn (wider orb). Our moons are in incompatible signs (aquarius, capricorn), along with our mars (libra, pisces).BUT his ascendant is exactly conjunct my sun/saturn and opposite my ascendant. We also have an exact Venus-Jupiter conj and DW. His Saturn conj. my South Node. Both fire sun signs (sag, aries). Not great, but I feel like there's a lot of chemistry AND glue. IP: Logged |

My ex and I have so so synastry. But we both have Taurus Saturns in 7th and they are conjunct in our synastry chart. We have the same asc. so all our houses are in the same signs. The aspects aren't great. But they aren't bad either. Somethings that were supposed to be bad never happened. We had a great relationship. Though I think Saturns in the 7th was the glue and when Saturn came around again 15 yrs later it unglued everything. He's a great guy and we are still very good friends. IP: Logged |

How is that even remotely so-so-synastry? IP: Logged |

Lol! You saw the chart and said it might not have enough forward motion and that it might be one-sided (re: BML/Priapus Saturn/SN). Starmoon said she "didn't like" our connection. I guess it's all how you present it?

Hmm, maybe I was in a BML-daze, and a bit blinded to other things. Happens sometimes when I discover a new "astrotoy". Generally speaking though if you have mutual angle conjunctions, it does not qualify as so-so-synastry in my book. However, if only one`s person Venus, 5th house ruler, 7th house ruler or 8th house ruler are strongly triggered by the other person`s planets, it might actually point towards onesidedness, yes, at least in a romantic relationship. But this is strictly romantically speaking. If these mentioned connections are missing BUT there are strong Sun and Moon aspects, plus nodal aaspects (and especially involving the MC-IC-axis), there would still be a strong soul-bond, just often one that does not become a very passionate romantic relationship. I always like to see both sides covered, and MUTUALLY. But as I said I don`t quite remember your synastrfy. IP: Logged |

Is Venus square Saturn both ways and Saturn conjunct south node both ways considered mutual?IP: Logged |

Yes. Mutally karmic. Much glue, but might feel very serious and "heavy". Depends on how you natally deal with that. If this is what both of you want in a relationship, it can be a very fruitful experience; however if one of you does not want to give it his all into the relationship, this might feel too heavy, and the partner who rather wants something light and fluffy, might nto be very nclined to get into such a relationship at all. However if both of you WANT a relationship to be really committed, this might actually be a good ingredient for you. As a matter of fact it is interesting how many long lasting marriages have the dynmaic Saturn aspects (conjunction,s quare, opposition) especially to Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, ASC and MC. Not always fun though, but then again how long can fun alone sustain you as a couple? IP: Logged |

I think maybe one reason you said it might be one-sided is that none of his planets conjunct the angles. But I think the main thing that balances out the serious aspects (Saturn stuff) is the lovely venus/jupiter DW. I feel like that is the dominant aspect in our relationship.
