Which house (s) signs, aspects represent divorce? I'm thinking 8th is contract and marriage. Could nasty aspects to it be something?

Thanks for any info.

I think Libra 29 represents the degree of divorce/dissolution.

I would imagine Pluto/Mars in house 7 by transits.Even Ura/Sat there in 7th. Nep in 7th could also suggest "dissolution" of the marriage?

Ruler of the 7th(by natal or prog) in aspect to the above outer planets. Something involving the 7th house/ruler.And perhaps the generic indicator of partnerships (Ven).

A lady I knew at work(Tau) is currently divorcing her husband.Transiting Sat is square her Natal Sun and Mars. Her natal Ven opp Pluto.

I think Mars/Uranus could be a trigger to "action" it. Something about the urgency of Mars that says "it must happen now". Whilst Ura may wake up and suddenly get inspired to move out of the marital home.

Oh yes, by composite (the assumption is that they are living together), transits to the angles may ge indicative of change towards that end. More specifically the MC/IC.

Check solar arc progressions to the angles. Starting with the 7th house

@Aries23Degrees, thank you! I appreciate this very much.
I'm going to dive into our potential markers in the "now". I'll add my notes if I see these.

I've not seen anything yet. Still looking a bit more on our individual charts and some of the random mentions you had. Mars/Uranus is a no. The 7th transits are no except for>

- I did find that our Davidson has Pluto in it via tr. This upcoming Lunar eclipse has me pondering.

I’m currently going through divorce and transit Uranus is in my 8th house. I have natal Venus in H8 opposite Uranus in H2. My north node is also in H2, I feel that being independent and self reliant is something I’m supposed to learn in this lifetime. I have a stellium in H8 and letting go of people has been a bit of a theme in my life so far.

Transit Chiron also was conjunct my Descendant during this time and I have natal Chiron in H7. I believe I also have some old relationship wounds I have to sort out.

I currently have Chiron transit in the 6th house (major surgery was one of the effects...) but let me tell you that I'm terrified of Chiron in the 7th house. A good friend of mine has Chiron transitting her 7th house and unfortunately she made similar experiences. Her longterm relationship fell apart and she has just said that her main purpose during Chiron in the 7th house is to learn to set boundaries, say "no", and become more independent of other people's opinions. She texted yesterday and is currently reading many self-help books such as "Attached" by Rachel S.F. Heller, "The Codependency Recovery Plan" and listening to podcasts like this: https://open.spotify.com/show/2BpUjzy5FMqos6H9ILK103?si=wO4BWiMwSJSnFgbOufj5tg&nd=1.

From the charts I've seen, I would say that the outer planets (Uranus, Saturn, and Pluto) play a big part in a divorce. When these planets form hard aspects e.g. Sun square Uranus, Saturn square Venus or even worse Saturn inconjunct Venus, divorce often seems to occur.

@rockwell, I agree that Uranus, Pluto and Saturn in transit can be indicative of big developments that are happening inside us and can trigger break ups. Besides Uranus and Chiron, transit Pluto has been opposite my 7th house ruler Mars and transit Saturn has been squaring my Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, nodes and Sun. And I’ll have a reverse nodal return end of this year. And even though it’s been painful, I don’t regret a thing. Finally, I have stopped putting myself in the last place and believing that I did everything wrong. The divorce has been such a relief. Don’t fear transits, if you have to let someone or something go, it wasn’t meant to be and it’s not in your best interest to hang onto it.

When I first left my marriage transit Pluto was exact square my natal Venus, which is also my natal 7th ruler. In my progressed chart for that date Venus and Pluto were two degrees separating. Also progressed Pluto was conjunct progressed MC.

Transit Mars was conjunct my progressed Mercury, which was ruler of the 7th for my progressed chart.

Whew! I don’t think I’ll experience Pluto square Venus in my life time. I experienced it as a kid when it was in Sagittarius.

You give me hope. Thanks for that. You have lots of squares going on and that's for sure not easy... I can relate to Saturn square Venus because I'm currently experiencing it. When the transit started, I separated from my boyfriend. It wasn't as complicated or painful as ending a longterm partnerschip or marriage, but it still wasn't easy for me. Saturn square Venus gave me a feeling of loneliness and isolation. I also felt unattractive and taken for granted. The latter was the worst because no matter how hard I tried or put in effort to save the relationship, it just wasn't appreciated and I felt bitter.
I wonder if divorce is particularly triggered when multiple difficult transits exist at the same time. It seems to be that way.

Transit Neptune, Uranus, Pluto or Saturn in hard aspect (esp. square or inconjunct) to the ascendant could also point to a divorce.

Oh boy, do I recognize that feeling of Saturn square Venus. I still struggle with feeling unattractive and rejected. I always thought that we would fight for each other if we would feel like the relationship was slipping through our fingers. But it was just me trying to fix whatever was broken. I felt so sad and alone. It made me realize the relationship I longed for only existed in my head. I could pour my heart and soul into it but that wouldn’t make it reality. You need two people to be in a relationship.

I think that difficult transits don’t cause break ups but they represent whatever is going on inside us, and that often is sudden insights and a desire for change(Uranus), the need to face reality and breaking of old habits(Saturn), confronting our inner demons and becoming a new person (Pluto). And all of these contribute to a revaluation of your relationship and often that leads to the painful conclusion that you’ve outgrown it.
