I have this transit in July next year, which is obviously still a pretty long way from now but I hear bad things about it. Does it really mean endings/loss? Is there anything good that can be gained from it?

I have it now. No losses yet, knock on wood.

One thing is, I feel like I am losing my ability to take things seriously or feel connected to any one viewpoint. It's hard for me to settle on one way to express myself, when I feel very much "diffused" and can relate to so many different opinions.

I have big time (Jupiter) confusion (12H) about so many issues, I sometimes just stop talking (and I'm a Gemini Mars!!) because...there's just nothing to say. Or sometimes I say things that are quite nebulous or "out there," and not my usual style of communication.

My kids will ask me a question and I just go "hmmmmmm" and sometimes never do think of an "appropriate" response.

I love it when Jupiter enters my 12th house because it conjuncts Natal Jupiter.

This placement in the Natal or by transit has a protective influence.

There are 3 planets that are happy/positive in the 12th house and Jupiter is one of them.

(Neptune and Venus are the other two)

I currently have it going on and I'm quite thankful for it. I haven't had anything major happen but my family (jupiter transiting through cancer) has really helped me and I've mutually helped them as well. I basically moved back in with them (dratted saturn transiting 4th).

Also, I've been studying astrology (jupiter) in the privacy (12th house) of my home (cancer).

12th house is a natural house for Jupiter, as the 12th house traditionally rules Pisces and Jupiter is the ancient ruler of Pisces, so this is generally a good transit. The person gets helped by "invisible" forces.

It was probably due to other transits, and I won't bore you with the details, but honestly Jupiter transiting my 12th was a pretty horrible time... It's in my 1st house right now but will soon cross back over into the 12th. I think it really just depends on if you already have planets there and how comfortable you are with this house in general.. All I can say is Jupiter will magnify and shine a spotlight on any "hidden" demons or inner issues you may have, and there's no running away.. It's true that you're "protected" under this transit, but that can also come along with some traumatic event you would never normally expect to happen, forcing you to face your fears about suffering, death, etc.

On the plus side it can be a spiritual time, even if you have to do a lot of soul searching to get down to your core beliefs.. I started learning tarot and understanding the importance/power of trusting my intuition. You'll be more comfortable on your own without the reassurance of others even if it can be isolating. For me, Saturn was squaring my Jupiter and venus the first time around, and my belief systems/life became pretty "unhinged" in general, but this time when Jupiter goes back into my 12th I'll be ready lol. Basically it seems to be a choice between chaos and self-sabotage, or detachment and spiritual exploration.. but that's what's nice about jupiter, choosing the positive side of things is always possible. So I hope this doesn't scare you or put too negative of a spin on things

Same for me.

I have had more good with Jupiter transiting 12th. Except for right now, its conjunct my ASC 1 deg. but in H12 and it makes me hungry. Damn Jupiter, get off my ASC!

It has been a time of more spiritual thinking and trying to look at all sides of things. A lot of learning and wanting more solitude and me time. All good tho.

I think other transits might indicate what type of time as well as natal planets. H12 for me is empty (except for chiron in late gemini).

awww, gemstone, you seem like to have a 12th House phobia

C'mon, every house has benefits and disadvantages. All of them are equally good and bad.

I've definitely been craving tons of alone time since Jupiter entered my 12th house. I'm usually a very communicative person (ie- always texting friends) but I've been practically the opposite to the point where friends sometimes worry.

Haha, yeah, I kinda do. Twelfth house seems causing major changes for me right now. I guess you're right though all houses are both good and bad.
