What ASC do.you resonate with the most? If you adjust your birth time to correlate this, does your chart make more sense to you?IP: Logged |

I guess that to determine the AC, you can use progressions and transits to see if your major life events match with certain AC placements. I'm not familiar with these methods of determining the AC thought, but profesisonal astrologers can do it.IP: Logged |

Yeah, chart rectification basically. I should learn how to do that… however, with mine I'm sure of the hour but not the minute. I know the hour it's in, but am unsure of the minutes. When I was playing around with it I noticed it changed a few significant placements I had. In any case I figured if birth times aren't accurately recorded, how can we rely on the ASC shown? My ascendant is accurate to about 20 minutes I think. I have been trying to rectify it and I've got a pretty accurate degree but I need a second opinion IP: Logged |

My asc is aries in western and pisces in vedic. I feel much more like I have pisces asc but i notice that i intimidate people when they first meet me so that could be the aries energy. I have moon in 12th though so I guess that might be why I always feel that way.IP: Logged |

The one I've got - Aquarius. Then again just to play devil's advocate, that could also be because I have Uranus on an angle, hence me feeling like an Aquarian because of the tie between Uranus and Aquarius. If I were any other ascendant in reality, I bet it'd be Pisces because that's the one I physically fit the most, I think. I think that would still leave Uranus in the 10th house also. IP: Logged |

I don't know how to rectify a chart, but in the different systems I become:Western: Pisces/Cancer ASC Vedic: Pisces/Cancer ASC Progressed: Aries/Leo ASC Draconic: Aris/Leo ASC I think I fit the Pisces/C, because i'm sensitive and all that jazz I admire the Arian/Leo qualities and I wish I had the confidence of a Leo and courage of an Aries. I'm pretty confused about my AC. My mum is convinced that there was a clock on the wall in her delivery room and she was looking at the clock and my time of birth is 10.15 am. This gives me a Gemini AC (29 deg). The official time says 10.20 am (Cancer AC). What makes things worse is that Venus also changes signs in that 5 minute timeframe - from 29'59 Aries to 00'01 Taurus. My NN is 00'10 Taurus. Almost everyone I've asked seems to guess Gemini AC, rather than Cancer. So I'm going with that lately! lol I really have no clue though. When I find celebrity lookalikes or friends who look similar they always have *both* Gemini and Cancer in their charts (not one or the other). IP: Logged |

I looked into this ages ago. I really don't know much about rectifying charts.. But as far as I recall you have to think back on serious/life changing events that had a significant impact on you... e.g. the death of a close family member, moving overseas, giving birth.. etc. Then you look at the transits and progressions for those events (if you have the accurate timing for them) and you figure out what aspects/house placements make more sense. For instance if you have a Gemini AC -- it would make sense for a life changing event to occur when your natal Mercury (chart ruler) is targeted by transiting Pluto.. (that's just one example!).. Or...If you have Taurus AC, it would make sense that you would be more likely to commit and enter a serious relationship when Venus is transiting Scorpio, conj your DC. There are so many possibilities! It all sounds pretty difficult and time-consuming... IP: Logged |

I'm pretty much Taurus. My mom wanted to run my chart so she was serious about making sure my birth time (hour) is right. I'm not sure about the minute though. Both my sister and I are put as being born at 11:00 and I don't think it can be that exact. So hm... I'm not sureIP: Logged |

The natal chart resonates to me. I did a few years ago a rectification but seemed weird to me which made me think that my TOB is accurate. I was supposed to be born 3 hours LATER than my actual birth time. Guess I didnt want to wait too much. I would have been born with a Sag ASC. I would have been a bit taller (my dream). Ehhhh!IP: Logged |

What do you mean? Your real ascendant will be the closest in relation, are you meaning the post for people who have inaccurate birth times?IP: Logged |

Well I just learned that the times doctors quote in hospitals are rarely ever exact. So I played around with my chart give or take 15-20 minutes. The adjustment would move my Mars out of the 12th house a smidgen, and I've never resonated with the 12th house Mars anyway. BUT it's close enough that I could see how both could play a part in my life. In any case a few other minor adjustments happened which made me wonder if subtracting from the quoted birth time would give people better resonating charts. IP: Logged |

My ex's mother says he was born at 1pm. But that gives him an Asc that is so not him. If we push his birth time back 1/2 hr that makes much more sense. The asc is the only thing that changes. So we just use the 12:30 birth time rather than 1pm. IP: Logged |

It wouldn't be 15 minutes forward because you have to be born first before they call it lolIP: Logged |
