Saturn in Synastry: Must they be mutual for both to "feel the glue" or can it be one sided? Example. Person A makes five close contacts to person B's Saturn while person B only makes 2 close contacts to person A's Saturn.

Does person B feel the "glue" more since its his Saturn that is touched more, or is it mutual?

Gemini Sun
Libra Moon
Gemini Mercury
Cancer Venus
Virgo Mars
Virgo Asc

And yes, I'm a guy!

I think its the person who's Saturn is touched the most who would feel it more, there would be a strong sense of seriousness and responsibility to the other person. Some people think it only takes one Saturn aspect between each individual to make it a 'bond'. But with my experience it's been different.

In my opinion each person handles the energy different..

I have a well aspected saturn, I don't do well with hard saturn aspects.. Sends me running...

With my.ex of 12 years

His saturn in my h1, sq my venus but it was out of sign it's like 6 orbs away..

My saturn sextile his moon by one orb..

We were stuck like glue.. Never once considered separating or leaving each other.. But fate had another plan..

That was.enough for me..

I met a guy with saturn in leo, dead on my sun, moon, merc..
I couldn't run fast enough.. I liked him, but flatly refused even one date..
He made me feel euhhhhhh..

Saturn on my dsc will also make me stick like glue..
I feel really stuck to fishy..
His saturn on my dsc, sq my nodes..

That's more than enough for me..

Unlike Lioness I seem to have antennas and a pull towards people with whom I share SAturn squaring Sun or Moon (either direction).
I guess I need it, though of course it is not exactly fun all the time.

Anyway, is one aspect one direction enough?
To be honest I don`t know.

Ideally I like a balance, so that both feel responsible for the relationship.
And yes, I`d like to see harmonious contacts to Saturn in composite as well.

Well friends of mine (married for 7 years, together for 12):
her SAturn opposite his Moon and quinkunx his Sun and square his MC

his Saturn is having just minor aspects to her personal planets or angles, though it squares his NN.

They are another example of the glue challenging Saturn-aspects can provide (they are both Saturnian though).

Also his Jupiter is exactly conjunct her Moon.

Their composite has a T-square of:
Venus on 7 Scoconj. Uranus on 5 Sco in 7th
opposite
Jupiter on 8 Taurus in 1st
square
Saturn on 6 Leo in 4th conj. 5th cusp

Not really what you expect, hu?

A woman and I share equal amounts of Saturn contacts with the inner planets and luminaries. Actually, of all the women I know, its usually my Saturn that is touched more but in the case with ms scorpio, we share the same amount, and they are all 1.5˚ or less in orbs. But like you Ceridwen, I seem to be drawn to females who's Saturn is Squaring my Sun/Merc conjunction. I've never experienced Saturn square moon but I've experienced Saturn conjunct my moon (but that was with a female coworker who was also into astrology so there were no feelings involved).

Ceri this got me thinking... I was wondering if maybe you had hard Saturn aspects verses me who only has easy aspects. I still have your info on my astro so I look.

You have no saturn aspects to your personal planets besides a quinx to moon...

I also checked for parallels..
You have Mars Contra parallel Saturn
Also your Mars parallels your NN..
so Im guessing its part of your growth to have those heavy Saturn aspects with other people. Those heavy Saturn aspects lead you to your NN especially since Mars is there.

As for me..
I have only Saturn sextiles/trines. Saturn sextiles my Leo Stellium

I too have Saturn contra parallel NN.
But none to personal planets..

I do have a semi wide Saturn sq Asc/DSC.
Ive notices if someone's Saturn is in my H1 or H7. Its been enough for me to feel that obligation to them.

I have Moon parallel pluto, where pluto does not hit my Leo Stellium in my Natal.. But it does hit my Venus.
Im much more deeper involved with heavy pluto aspects.
Heavy Pluto kicks my butt.. (also pluto in H7)
Pluto is enought to keep me "wanting" to be around... Then add a little Saturn to the mix than bam Im stuck like glue...

Im guessing its different for each of us..
Some people need more saturn/ some need just 1... I guess it depends on what saturn is doing in each of our charts.

just a thought.

Me and my boyfriend are both Geminis.
We have double whammy Moon conjunct Saturn/Saturn opp. Venus/Saturn opp. Chiron/Moon opposite Chiron. His Saturn is also opposite my Sun.

I think it's almost too much glue for me to handle. He is better at it.

I think that it's really difficult. I am strong in Saturn but my Saturn has a mix of good and bad aspects.

I think Saturn definitely keeps me coming back. I usually just leave. But it's heavy. It's not always pleasant. Especially with the Conjuction/Opp. we have going on. It's like Stockholm Syndrome to be quite honest. Can't breathe with him, but can't survive without him.

We actually spend a lot of time apart, I think, because it gets so heavy.

We have similar histories, pain, etc. So we do share that understanding though. So it's really easy to be on the same page in that sense. We both know loss and depression.

Can we get through that to something better? Time will tell? I definitely think whatever the end result, there will be a lot of lessons, especially as Saturn enters my 7th house.

Lioness,

yes I am pretty sure the fact that I am drawn to Saturn-aspects to Sun or Moon, has to do with my MOon-Saturn-quinkunx. It`s a pretty challenging aspect.

I've also wondered if one person feels more duty if they have more saturn aspects too. I only have one or two with someone but he has many more. Would it be easier for me to leave than him?!!

I would prefer it to be mutual, otherwise one person (the Saturn one) has to much power over the other.

Saturn synastry contact is like the disciplinarian trying to hold you back. It's uncomfortable if it's one-sided.

Hm, so its like he would want to be in control of me and the relationship. I was trying to figure out the balance between wanting to stay in the relationship (in a positive way) and being a control freak. lol.
