I am one of those people who have weight problems their whole life. I am a chronic yo yo dieter, and I find it very difficult to stick to healthy eating when there is so much temptation around. I am heavily Sagittarius and libra influenced, so this could explain my excess when it comes to food. So do you think its possible to use your natal chart to figure out what works best for you to keep the weight off and be healthy?

Look at the transit Jupiter making contact with your 6th house ruler that would explain your eating habits at the moment.
If Jupiter is making good contacts you should be able to stick to a diet regime easily...
hope that helps

For a generic breakdown of what diet tips work for what sign, I look at a book called "The Only Astrology Book You Will Ever Need" by Joanna Martine Woolfolk. It's a very basic book, but very interesting. I looked at my sun sign, moon, asc, and 6th house sign to get a little breakdown of things that would work. For me it shows a high protein diet and exercises like yoga and pilates are ideal. Ironically (or not), these are the only things I can stick to.

Since you said you are Sagittarius influenced, an example would be:

Diet and Health Tips for Sagittarius

Proper diet is important for on-the-go Sagittarians. A
poor diet heavy in fats, starches, and alcohol places an extra burden on Sagittarius's sensitive liver and makes it
harder for them to sustain a high energy level.

Sagittarius's cell salt is silica, which strengthens the
nervous system, keeps the connective brain tissue healthy,
and prevents numbness in fingers, legs, and feet. Deficiency of this mineral results in lank hair, dull skin, and
sores and receding of the gums. Best sources for the silica
that Sagittarians need are the skins of fruits and vegetables,
raw salads, green peppers, figs, prunes, strawberries, pears,
apples, potatoes, oats, the husks of grains, whole-grain cereals, and egg yolk. Foods that particularly do not agree
with Sagittarius are fats, gravies, cream, butter, candy, and
chocolate. They should go very easy on alcoholic beverages, to avoid damage not only to the liver but also to the
skin, which coarsens and ages under the effects of liquor.
To keep their weight at optimum level Sagittarians should
eat a high-protein diet, with lots of broiled poultry and
fish, fresh vegetables and fruit (such as brussels sprouts,
beets, tomatoes, asparagus, plums, cherries, oranges, and
lemons), eggs, skim milk, yogurt, brown rice, and whole
wheat.

Sagittarius people need constant mental stimulation,
which can lead them to overwork and overplay. More than
most people, Sagittarians have to have recreation and exercise, but moderation is the keyword. They should avoid
the blistering effects of sun and wind, for their skin is apt
to be quite thin and tender.

Other good tips: they should drink lots of pure water,
avoid smoking tobacco (which constricts blood vessels),
eat four mini-meals a day rather than three large ones,
and be careful when walking, riding, or participating in
sports. Injuries to the hips and thighs are common among
people born under this sign.

In general, Sagittarians are healthy and optimistic, recuperate quickly from illness, and keep their good looks
and sparkling smiles well into old age.

(it was copied and pasted so the format may be a little weird)

I have 4 planets in sag, with moon in libra.

My best diet is high protein, medium fat, high veggies and fruits. Carbs (not fruit or veggies, but the grain based ones) mess me up. Sugar does a number on me.

Earth people love carbs. My Taurus ex, my Virgo mother, my Virgo neighbor, they're all nuts about pasta, rice, bread and other food that seems purposeless to me. But. If I eat it after cleansing my body, my body cries "unclean! Unclean!"

I have Jupiter square Venus. Indulgence is always an issue unless I control myself with the above restrictions (which, um, let's face it. I don't too much).

Everything Themischievousone said sounds pretty close to accurate!
