First I would like to apologize because I'm not really an active member here. But I ALWAYS read posts on this site and I don't want to seem like I'm intruding. But I have a SERIOUS question about YODS

All my life I felt like there was this weird, special "pull" in my life and when I found out about the YODS I immediately felt the connection. But in my chart the only YOD possible falls between my 9'Venus in Cancer and 10'Vertex in Virgo which points towards my 9'Asc in Aquarius

Can there be a YOD between the Ascendant Venus and the Vertex? Or only the planets?

If so....then it explains ALOT

Hello NYCDodger! Welcome to LL

With yods you use planets and they must be close to exact, no more than one degree.

I think one angle and two planets could work, but two angles is a little bit too much.

However, I would look for important asteroids, maybe one of them is near those two points, thus forming a Yod with Venus. Depending on the asteroids, the Yod could be valid. For example, if you find a Eros/Psyche sextile forming a Yod with Venus, or Valentine/Amor sextile forming a Yod with Venus, you'd have a nice archetypal integration through a Yod.

I'd have to check my Chiron because it's close to my Venus. But I figured since the vertex is extremely important it would be valid with the asc. What would a YOD with the ASC as the apex be like anyway??? In my chart, I also have my sun quincunx my Uranus, and I have a singleton mercury (it squares my mid heaven)

Thanks!

I think I'll post my chart from astro.com. Any idea on how to do so?

It's not about something being near Venus, it's about finding at least one other planet/asteroid on ASC or Vertex, especially Vertex. Vertex is a sensitive point, very TOB sensitive, hard to consider in a Yod.

A Yod with the ASC (again, you need an exact TOB) should involve two personal planets in sextile to even be considered. A generational sextile won't do, IMO.

Ummm. I'm not sure if Vertex can be part of a Yod but techinically it is a Yod.

Wow. I don't think it's just the yod that you're feeling...there's a ton of conflict but also dynamism in this chart:

A grand cross on the angles involving Mars and Pluto. Venus opposing Neptune and Uranus, with Moon at the midpoint. Mercury trining the Mars, Mars trining Neptune..Jupiter and Chiron opposing Saturn? I'm trying to not say this looks like a genius' chart, but THIS REALLY LOOKS LIKE A GENIUS' CHART. Or something equally heavy.

My rising sign in Aquarius played a big role in my life. I grew up in a very esoteric family. My mother always used to tell me that when I was growing up I was very inquisitive and insightful about things. The relationship I have with my father and close (but very few) friends is also something very different and special.

But if it IS a Yod. Then what does it mean when my Ascendant is the apex?

Hi,
it is a strong chart, with a 12th/6th house emphasis. Do you work hard?

The fixed cross with Mars/Pluto opposition shows a lot of personal power.

It shows the Yod there because you chose to include vertex and astro.com calculated that Yod for you, mathematically it is, but astrologically, Yods happen between planets, maybe one angle.

The Vertex is a hypothetical point which becomes activated by a planet transiting it. It is not e celestial body.

Ahh I see! Thanks. Everyone talks on how important the vertex is so I include it in my charts. But thanks for the input. And yeah the 12th and 8th houses are two of my "itches but can't scratch it" things in my life lol

I guess this means I had a crazy past life? Lol
