Saturn conjunct Venus here, what can I say, love isn't just on the cards for me in this life. I know, I'm always just being critisized for my appearance, good and bad. It is so important to me to get this feedback because it proves how worthy i am, but obviously reality has to suck and people have to put me down for not being perfect or good enough for them. I just withdraw and close up because I know people will hurt me. Or whenever I open up they do something that makes me not trust even further. So, what's the actual lesson? No, its impossible to love yourself these days because reality reminds me I'm not good enough. Or I can completely walk into a busy room and be invisible, and unnoticed. At least ive got a trine to Jupiter to ease it a little, but my Jupiter is in the 12th house :\

Nope, not doomed. Even Saturn has positives.

If you look at your own post from an outside perspective you'll see that much of what you wrote is how poorly you feel about yourself. How doomed you feel. Or unworthy.
Perhaps this is the actual "doom" of Saturn here. You are your own worst enemy in finding love, or at least that's how I'm seeing it.
Which of course you can overcome.

I have Saturn conjunct Venus also. It is very hard, I agree.

I also have Jupiter conjunct both.

The thing with me though, is I do get complimented, but I have a hard time accepting them. I also know that I am a good person, successful in my career, attractive. But I do feel I will never find anyone. I'm not outgoing enough, I don't smile, etc.

NeptunianSag - you're lucky, this aspect hardly shows real age :-) and when you finally do age it is a graceful graceful aging...

What's the lesson ?
People with this aspect are afraid of rejection big time, it stems from having problems with trusting people. That is the negative expression of this aspect.
So you need to overcome this fear of rejection. Attack it with passion, look for inspiration or a role model, every challenge can be overcome. That is what your Neptune is for.

Know this - beauty is an illusion. Take from Dita Von Teese: 'You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches."

And this I learnt from Sophia Loren - what makes someone attractive is Confidence, that is the big secret. People are attracted to confidence, we all want it, and when we see it radiating in other people we want these people real bad. And it doesnt matter what they look like!

Confidence is not what you get from other's people approval, it comes from within. So get up and do something to build your confidence up.
Think of it as a 21 day project running in 3 simultaneous streams:

1. Body - do anything that builds your body confidence : aikido classes, pilates , running - whatever is your thing. Must do this, it raises your energy and gives your brain some happy juice.

2. Mind - find inspiration : realistic role model to relate to; read Tony Robbins "awaken giant within" he talks about rejection and its so simple; learn about setting boundaries, its important ...etc so many possibilities to get your head in the right place.

3. Spirit - read some stories to help you discern what you need rather than what you think you need in your life (in terms of people); read "you can heal your life" by Louise Hay to forgive and get yourself back on your journey...

I've been there...I have Venus/Saturn opposition, and my Saturn is retrograde, lol... and Im a Sag with Neptune oriental :-D

Erase the word doom from your vocabulary. Unleash your Neptune and go get them tiger :-)

There is a mate for everyone who wants one. The desire to love and be loved is the strongest force in the universe. However, if you cannot learn to accept yourself, then you may find you are blocking potential relationships.

Why do people like to take one (1) aspect in their chart and speak gloom and doom over it? If it's any comfort, the following people have Saturn conjunct Venus in their chart and seem to have experienced serious loving relationships in their lives.

Vanessa Williams (the former Miss America)
Donald Trump
Bill Gates
Heidi Klum
Nicolas Cage
Pink
Edgar Cayce
Benedict Cumberbatch
Benicio Del Toro
Jarvier Bardem
Hillary Swank
Carol Alt
Amy Grant

I was joking with my 'Oh no' comment, LMAO.

With Saturn, one must learn the art of waiting.

It sounds like more of a self-esteem issue than a Venus-Saturn conjunction. And even with this aspect, it must be stressed that hard aspects are not always hard per se.

In fact a conjunction just blends the energies of Venus with Saturn.

Perhaps you are more mature for your age, or you seek a mature partner, etc.

I am familiar with Venus-Saturn hard aspects. Saturn in the 1st opposite Venus in the 7th in natal.

At the moment, I am also experiencing Saturn conjunct ASC with an inevitable Saturn return (turning 28 this month).

But for the first time I am single and am not seeking anyone. Instead self love is what it is all about.

I am afraid of dating anyone due to it fizzling out right away - so I'd rather be alone and reflect what it is that I want and who I want and give myself the self-love that I have deprived myself for years. As cheesy as that sounds.

Everywhere around the world, people get up each morning and dress their little ones.

As each of them put an item of clothing on the petite body, they whisper(sometimes even shout) "You are the ugliest thing that I ever set eyes upon!".

Then when the little one is drained enough to internalize the words, they walk out the door.

In every street corner they meet people who tell them "my, what an little one you have". Whilst others point, laugh and say "what train wreck did that little mess come from?"

And for every comment made, they also then turn to the little one and say "see, even the world thinks you are worthless."

When the day is spent, they return home and throw the little one into a closed cabinet and whisper once more "You are worthless. Night".

Again the following day they get up to do this all over again.Never tiring.

Now for many of us reading this, we would think "how cruel". "Why would anyone abuse someone like that".

But it is really no different from what you just wrote. Not only do you whisper to yourself that you are worthless. But you also let the whole world chime in to 'confirm' that too. And you do it everyday

This has little to do with Saturn-Venus.As the interpretation ranges depending on the person concerned. And there are people with all sorts of relationships that have this aspect.

This has more to do with how you feel about you.

It kind of is to do with Venus-Saturn though, speaking as a square and knowing others with an aspect. There's just something about it that's different in the form of low self-esteem. When I want to describe how it feels, it comes as an image of gravel - that grinding, hard material - in the soul.

I've been contemplating this aspect myself recently and I do think one of the benefits is that there's a forcing towards serious inquiry in life. The interface/surface just isn't easy/fun to deal with and in a way I'm grateful for that because I'd miss out on so much otherwise. But, yeah, gravel!

Eta - I am just about seeing the Saturn reward in the form of no longer being as worried about what others think of me which is liberating and in the meantime I've invested in things not to do with others - because I had to - which at this later stage does feel like it's been for the best, my benefit, to encounter earlier obstacles.

Thank you Belage. I knew that a few minutes taken to do a bit of digging and we could come up with plenty of examples of people who have had relationships, marriages, etc.

I understand the pity party. I had threw some for myself at times over the years, but eventually at nearly 39 I found my life mate. I've got enough Saturn in my chart too.

No single astrological factor or assortment of them can deny us our true nature - souls living as human animals who are driven to bond and to love.

Try having Venus in Taurus opposite Scorpio Saturn....it's tough because I want a very deep and loyal type of love.

I have venus square saturn. I have terrible self-esteem issues. I am very insecure and self-conscious. I definitely feel like I'm not good enough for anyone but I can't continue to stay in this mindset. This is why I attract the wrong people into my life. I'm trying to look at everyday as an opportunity to love myself more and more.

We have to learn to love our selves and remember that no one is perfect. Once we achieve that self love we will attract the right people into our lives. I think thats the biggest obstacle for venus/saturn people. Self love is difficult without a doubt, but it IS possible.

I have ...

Sun square Saturn
Moon trine Saturn
Mercury square Saturn
Venus square Saturn
Saturn in my 7th house

So, I get it. What's crazy is growing up thinking the struggles / obstacles you have to overcome are normal and they're not, but you know what that means? That you're stronger than most. These difficult times are whipping you into shape so you can be a powerhouse later.

I have had a lot of time to myself this year and when I reflected back on past relationships I realized they didn't last because a) they weren't the right people for me plain and simple, it would've ended. and b) I didn't put the work in that traditional Capricorns are known to do. I have a Capricorn moon friend and she met a guy, and their relationship wasn't perfect and still isn't but the beauty of Capricorn is that they will stick with something and invest in it. He's her best friend and they've been together for five years. He would do anything for her. If you have Saturn aspects in your chart it's basically a challenge to fight for what you really want. So figure out what you really want and then prepare yourself for a long journey of cultivating the goal you have.

As a sidenote I see a lot of Sag-influenced people (people who actually have Sag planets, not Jupiter aspects) have self-esteem issues so it could be that too. It's not as easy as other people have it but at the end - everybody has their s*it. Everybody goes through times where they feel lonely and can't see ahead of themselves. You can attain whatever you want, you're just not done cooking yet.

NeptunianSag,
It's a tough world to develop self-esteem and self-worth in, no doubt.
I have Saturn cj. Asc. squ. Venus AND a Virgo Moon!!
One of the things that saved me from critising myself into insanity, was recognising that much negativity from others reflects THEM.
When you are already so self-critical and methodical, it can make others feel inadequate and question their commitment, since, even thought you are ripping yourself apart, it can present as high ethics and striving for perfection, which can be intimidating.

Try setting your standards as what you would expect from someone you loved.
You would not tear them down and call them the names you may call yourself, would you?

Be your own friend first.
Someone who is already highly critical of themselves needs to be careful with external criticisms, they can all too easily be taken as truth, as they validate the irrational standards you hold yourself to within.

The nicer you are to yourself, the more accurately you will be able to tell the difference between other's destructive criticisms and their helpful, constructive criticisms.
