I was just reading her interview. That's what she has to say about dating and men:

But she's a double Leo! She has Sun widely conjunct Venus in Leo. And her Moon is in Gemini. Her 7H is in Leo.
How can this woman be into couch-potato, down to earth, anti-glamour, zero passion, comfortable relationships? She has Aqua Ascendant, too, and her MC is in Sag.
It's like, her whole natal chart contradicts her quote.
Also, a Fire sign with a masculine Air Moon and a tough Cappy Saturn *and* Sun square Mars who can't stand fighting? How comes? I'm dumbfounded.  Here's her chart  IP: Logged |

It could just be her public persona. She seems to try to project a very laid back cool gal people's person type of persona. She is probably just saying that to solidify her image.IP: Logged |

Air and Fire(Masculine) signs are MUCH* better at expressing their confident or self-assured natures with ease. There is less to argue about when a person is more sure about what they are expressing and communicating. Things are thought out with much more ease with Masculine signs. The fact that she's saying people that create arguments is a turn off to her is a part of this. The fact that she is saying she wants a partner who can be themselves with her is also her saying she wants a confident partner who knows him self well and expresses it well. Masculine traits.Imo, (although I don't know much about her) what ever she has quoted falls under very basic nature of her sun and moon signs. IP: Logged |

JLaw is definitely the Cool Girl of this generation and I say this as a fan. Since she has never discussed her private life pre-The Hunger Games success, it's hard to know if her opinion on relationships has changed or not. I agree with bansheequeen. A lot of her actions & interviews seem very PR to me, it's like her team is trying to come up with different situations so everybody can be like ~~JLaw is so cool and relatable and just like us!!!1!!1 IP: Logged |

Well, Mars is in Taurus, for one - laaazy.  And appreciating quiet, stable, uncomplicated men. The Moon and Venus might be in Gem and Leo, but they are in the 4th and 6th house. These all speak of a love of quiet, peace and comfort.IP: Logged |

^^ See, I would like to say I agree with you here but I could also say the similar things about my own chart.I have certain feminine planetary/house placements as well. But ultimately What I really seek in a partner is somebody at my own level. And for women, Sun sign is very evident in how this plays out. With a Masculine Sun sign, self-assured men are my comfort zone. IP: Logged |

My ex husband was a Leo sun, Gemini moon. We never fought. He wouldn't fight with anyone actually. He was super laid back, not super passionate. He'd never make poetic love declarations. We had a very comfortable relationship. Even at bit bordering on boring. I had to put the fun in funtastic!  Of course, he would never fart and that sort of thing. He was not the frat boy type. Very well mannered and hated when I cursed. But you get the picture: From personal experience, I'm not seeing the contradiction. My ex was like that. IP: Logged |

I'd agree with this analysis. It's helpful too, I really don't understand how venus in leo works and I'd been curious about sun/venus conjunct in leo for a while. IP: Logged |

Her Venus is on SN. She is walking on a spiritual path towards Aquarius-ness. So she might always come accross as Leo/Aquarius... rather than just Leo.
Imo having ones NN in the sign opposite to their Sun sign is almost like having Moon or Asc in an opposite sign. It really *shows* - and the person's behaviour won't be typical of that Sun sign. In her case, she has both NN and ASC in Aquarius, so she gets a double dose IP: Logged |

Leo venus is a very playful placement. It's not dramatic per se. It wants attention but other than that, not necessarily in need of a big show.
I've also noticed Leos with aqua placements seem to try to keep their ego in check.Sun in 7th is in need of partnership. 6th house venuses I know just loovveeetl take their time with daily tasks. I'm not surprise she just wants to chill out. IP: Logged |

Me and my husband both have venus in Leo and this describes our relationship really well except when we fight; then I can't stand him and want to break up; I hate fighting and people that just can't stop fighting and drop things. My husband won't let go; his mars in scorpio I guess.
I attribute the desire for peace to my moon in pisces and neptunian influence. Neptune is my strongest planet.

yeah, you are taking her words to be truth. they might just be what she wants people to believe she is. you really cannot trust what public figures say, it's for a purpose in most cases and isn't entirely factual. not saying it is or isn't accurate, but don't believe what you read IP: Logged |

That's super interesting. Putting aside the public persona version for a moment... it's a bit eye-opening for me because I have never met a Leo Venus who was into chilling at home before. I actually dated a Leo guy who had the same wide conjunction of Sun and Venus in Leo and he'd stay home only if he were sick. Staying at home and watching TV as a date was, like, his worst nightmare. xD He wasn't much into drama but he liked a good show-off. He'd ask me to dress up every time we went out. He had Mars in Aries, though, so that might have added up to the restlessness. IP: Logged |

Me and my husband both have venus in leo and we mostly chill at home and when we go out is usually to eat out somewhere; we are home people and not very socially active.I have moon in pisces in the 4th and my husband has moon in cancer. Notice she has moon gemini in the 4th and jupiter in cancer. We both have mutable moons in the 4th... IP: Logged |

Not sure Moon actually plays a big part in this. I'm also a lunar Gemini, and thus have three true selves. Or four, on a good day. Whichever self gets shown to my bf depends on my mood. xD And my Mercury in Scorpio is always ready for a verbal fight, if anything, Gemini placements make me more prone to talk it out. Or shout it out. I just noticed that her Jupiter is in 29th degree. Interesting. I keep being told it's super hard to be famous with that placement, the anaretic degree, and yet I keep seeing celebrities having their Jupiter right there. IP: Logged |

Well like I said having moon in the 4th or in cancer definitely makes you the type to want to hang out at home and watch movies and shows with your SO instead of been a big social couple; it makes you prefer the intimacy, quietness and cozyness of staying at home chilling out with your SO and makes you crave a harmonious drama free home life bc its were you escape and recharge and let your hair down and totally be you 100%. She has moon in the 4th further reinforced with jup in cancer and EROS in the 4th. I have moon in the 4th conjunct IC. Husband has moon in cancer IP: Logged |

Yes it could be that and look at her chart not everything is so simple and what she's says doesn't mean how it looks in reality however:
