On another thread (Mars and Body movement) I suggested that such a thing can't be discussed without factoring in the persons Ascendant. This lead me to think about the Ascendant and Mars. These two placements seem like natural partners. So here's my question -

How well do you feel your Ascendant and Mars combination work together in your energy output?

I'll use my placements as a short example -

I like both my Taurus Ascendant and Aries Mars placements individually. However, as a combination I feel like they work against each other. From my Taurus Ascendant I do feel a need to start things up slow into a comfortable sustained effort. As an Aries Mars I am at my best in the moment or the initial tackling of a project. So in many ways and very often I feel my Taurus Ascendant bottle necking my initial Aries outburst of enthusiasm and strong initiation. The Aries Mars weakness is also the sustained effort phase so I don't even benefit much there either. I suppose a Capricorn Mars would of been a powerful fit for my Taurus ASC output rate.

I have learned to deal with this discordant initial energy level and slow tendency to expression - I usually put myself in situations that force me to act at an uncomfortable pace to reap the rewards of my Aries Mars.

Edit: People are including their movement so I thought I would to. Pretty simple really, just imagine a regular slow moving Taurus. Kinda slow moving, kinda stiff, and kinda relaxed then imagine activating the Aries Mars energy. I sometimes laugh at the way I run. It's somewhat cartoonish where the cartoon characters legs are moving really fast creating a blur but the torso really has no animation to it. My head and chin do tend to aim down when I'm really pushing himself as if imma headbutt you. My shoulders have a tendency to slouch forward making me look more aggressive without the intention.

The only issue with Aqua ASC and Mars is that I often find myself unsure of my own drive and my energy levels. They can be very erratic and sudden. I can dance for 4 hours straight but starve in bed because I'm too lazy to make a sandwich.

As far as my physical body movements. They are amazing together. Balance, grace, very deliberate, yet fluid motion. I literally have the balance of a cat. There's been some times on ice and other things that I can't even understand how I caught myself and didn't fall down.

Mars is in 1st degree.

Mars is in opposition to my Ascendant (7th house cusp)

Mars conjuncts my Pluto in Scorpio.

Pluto is the ruler of my 7th house.

Pluto is my chart ruler (Venus in Scorpio)

I also have a Scorpio stellium (6th house).

My mars and ascendant's relationship is hell. I haven't learned how to project confidence without attracting violence and aggressiveness.

I project the wrong demeanor & it's unintentional.

I'm viewed as aggressive and stoic.

& me being a female, you can imagine all the young guys lined up at my doorstep waiting to carry me away (major sarcasm).

As far as my energy level, it's sporadic.

I'm extremely lazy, but I'll tap into that Mars energy when it's time to get things done or I'm burnt out but have to keep going.

I get restless easily and I have more energy when I'm in a relationship vs. when I am not. This might seem like the obvious outcome, but it's very apparent with me.

LOL you sound exactly like me and my Mars is opposite Uranus. Haha. Fluctuating energy levels and sudden 'sparks' or 'flare-ups' of energy truly does seem Aquarian!

I can be lazy,if there is no material motivation. But can also bring out the guns if the incentive is attractive enough.

When I do something and get the "gist" of it. I usually find it difficult to just let it go. That is how I am with gym.I have been steadily doing for years.

i think for a split second before i act it seems lol i cause chaos and talk myself out of it byt then throw myself into it anyways for the thrill and then i start laughing lol my sag optimism gets me out of alotttttttt of trouble and has helped me through all the crap that ive caused myself to go through. im unlucky but so lucky at the same time. swag

i come off energetic but chill and i laugh/smile a lot. i get accused of smoking weed a lot and people are so surprised when i tell them no, infact i hate weed!
