I know this man, who usually has a rather strange reaction on bad news. For example, I broke my tooth, and was very distressed about it. This man was the first person I met that day, so I shared the news. He was nice to ask how I was, so I told him about my tooth. Instead of being simpathetic, like you'd normally be, he started... laughing. This was so bizzare!!! I didn't know how to respond. Honestly, I was slightly offended. Since then it happened a few times, so I guess it's normal to him. Has anyone experienced anything like it or perhaps you too have this unusual reaction? He is Cappy with Gemini Moon.

He doesn't sound very sympathetic. I hope something horrible doesn't happen to HIM. I wonder if he will be laughing it off then. I once skidded off my motorbike on ice while I was leaving my dad's house (my mother and sister were present too). I was lying in the middle of the road, albeit kinda chuckling to myself because actually I wasn't really hurt. My mother (Cancer) typically was fretting/panicking, my father (Leo) was also a bit concerned but more restrained. My sister (Aquarius) however was probably secretly enjoying the fact I'd had an accident because her "are you alright?" sounded pretty ingenuous to me. Maybe people with air in their chart don't really have much sympathy, I dunno really! IP: Logged |

A man I know, Scorpio with a Leo Moon and Cancer ASC, also laughs when he hears bad news, although it's a teasing and slightly mocking one (Scorpio SUN ?). He tends to take most things very lightly, and he reacts that way only with very young people (like me) he can tease and that he's close to ; he behaves with adults, though. If it's really bad news or he feels it's really not something to laugh about, he'll stop (I'm talking real extremes here -- the death of a loved one for instance). But concerning the rest, say ... an accident resulting in a broken leg would certainly make him laugh.I think it's his Leo MOON or SUN in 5H which gives this very playful, teasing and detached side to him, even at the age of 42. He doesn't get into trouble because most teenagers are cool and don't really mind. IP: Logged |

Interesting, I knew a couple people with Gemini Moon who also were not sympathetic. Don't know if that is the real indicator of that behavior, but it's the common denominator between them. They say there's 2 kinds of people in this world. Ones who view life as a comedy and ones who view it as a tragedy. IP: Logged |

I'm sorry about your tooth. I gotta say that I'm probably one of those people. Something similar happened once. My cousin was chewing on a piece of spiced dried beef and somehow managed to break her tooth with it. She turned around and screamed at me "Oh my god I broke my tooth, what do I do what do I do". I froze for a moment and started to laugh hysterically. It's not that I found it funny that she broke her tooth or that I was unsympathetic. It was the bizarreness of the situation. I often laugh at my own misfortunes too. So you know... I tried my best to contain myself when it's other people's misfortunes though. I'm a cap sun/aries moon. IP: Logged |

Aries Sun square Saturn in Cap Moon trine Saturn Gemini ASC that's sextile my Sun The above is exactly why I take everything lightly! It's funny when you look at it as a comedy sketch rather than get bogged down thinking about the pain and suffering of it all. Thus is life, why not make it fun somehow? IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone for your replies.I tried to link it to his Gem placement. My sister has Gem Mars, so does my friend. They both would laugh as well, I think, or at least wouldn't be as sympathetic as I'd expect them to be. My other friend is Pisces Sun, Gem Moon, and she is like them too. But then again, my mother in-law is Scorpio with Gem Moon, and she's very sympathetic. I'm all for having a laugh, and taking life lightly (Jupiter is my dominant planet), but even my Saggi Moon was quite surprised with his reaction. Ohh another situation, last week I found out I have a gestational diabetes, which was very shocking as I don't like sweets all that much, and my sugar level is lower than average. Anyway, I was devastated and concerned for myself and my baby. It's a serious condition, for both of us. I told him the news. Guess what, he laughed again... at diabetes... Wth. He's a very nice person otherwise, he really cares about his family, and overall a nice fair man. I'm not angry with him, I'm just puzzled IP: Logged |

YES.
My Gemini friend (Aries moon) laughs at totally inappropriate times-- which I've found to be anything from offensive to maddening. I've learned, though, that this is a sort of nervous
habit of hers... she isn't *trying* to be rude. She just doesn't do *serious* very well. And that isn't to imply that she is of a shallow character-- she isn't.
