Okay I honestly wanted to share this with people because I'm still blown away.

So for about two years I was dealing with negativity and these past 6 months I have been trying to become mentally positive again.

tSaturn was opposing my mercury and conjunct my Pluto which almost broke me but thank goodness I realized what I had to change (Saturn will come back to oppose my mercury again and conjunct my Pluto so I hope it's easier this time).

I have been struggling SO much because I wanted to be positive again but it was so hard for me. My subconcious was so conditioned to be negative and I really hated myself.

Now I just got a new job and was introduced to matcha tea. It's basically the whole green tea leaf grinded down into a powder so it's way better than steeping green tea leaves and removing it. My coworkers would talk about how their physical body could be really sick yet matcha made them feel super happy and energetic. I did not believe it at all especially since caffeine hates my nervous body.

MATCHA HAS BROUGHT MY POSITIVITY BACK AGAIN.

I was shocked that my nervous sensitivity to caffeine wasn't acting up until I researched matcha and read this from http://matchasource.com/health-benefits-of-matcha-tea/ :

"Over a thousand years ago, matcha came to Japan as an aid to meditation practice. During long hours of sitting, monks would drink matcha to remain alert yet calm. Modern science has recently confirmed the lessons of centuries of tradition. Matcha is rich in L-Theanine, a rare amino acid that actually promotes a state of relaxation and well-being by acting upon the brains functioning. While stress can induce beta waves an excited, more agitated state, L-Theanine creates alpha waves, which lead to a state of relaxed alertness. And while L-Theanine is common in all tea, matcha may contain up to five times more of this amino acid than common black and green teas.

As an additional benefit, L-Theanine may help memory and learning and ability all the while inhibiting any possible side-effects from caffeine, a natural component of green tea. Therefore, a bowl of matcha promotes concentration and clarity of mind without any of the nervous energy found in coffee. Try matcha as a pick-me-up for the afternoon or anytime you need extra focus."

They refer to studies in their website but so many other websites mention this. Also how jam packed matcha is with good nutrients. But this is literally what I experienced! And I meditate too!

I remember walking home yesterday and instead of thinking negatively of everything in my initial thoughts I was super positive and didn't even want to go home!MY BODY WAS NOT FEELING GOOD AT ALL!! I only went home to rest for my body but my mind was very satisfied.

Today tJupiter is exactly conjunct my natal moon. I can't thank Jupiter enough for this. I love this manifestation of the transit. Thank you for introducing me to matcha, Jupiter. You have made me feel so happy.

Well done. Little risks can be so rewarding, right?

Green tea also technically does not contain caffeine, but theanine, along with theophylline and theobromine. Its xanthine alkaloid content (dilating, diaphoretic stimulants) are more balanced than the straight 'hard' caffeine of coffee.

You may also find that you can enjoy White Tea.

I wish more people would take a little 'risk' with these natural foods and medicines that have long been part of our various traditions for good reasons.

I use collagen powder for my stomach, and the tea usually relaxes me - not all of the time, but quite a bit. Although I go through it so slowly, that I think it loses effectiveness after a while. I need to store it in a jar, with a lid.

Thank you for sharing! Really want to try this

P.S.
My soul sister makes green tea, freezes it, and rubs it on her face in the morning. She has absolutely beautiful skin. Maybe it would work with matcha too.

Thanks!

My new job is actually in a tea store! I like mixing my matcha with milk and I love it so much I almost forgot about the other teas. White tea is too light for me! There is a tea called Buddhas Blend that I want to try.

I think the amino acid I mentioned before counter acts nervousness. I have definitely been there with black teas and I LOVE black teas! Now that I've built a tolerance I can drink them.

White tea and oolong tea might be for you as they are much lighter and have less caffeine (or not at all I am going blank).

You might want to take a look at the herbal/fruit infusions at David's Tea since they have no caffeine.

I was thinking of trying a matcha toner! But I think my skin is too stubborn and needs to try the regimen from acne.org. I used to use a green tea toner I made at home. It worked sometimes but my skin does not listen to anything.

If you're looking for a 'caffeinated' beverage, then try White Tea (less stimulating, more antioxidants) or Yerba Mate.

However, I would advise that you supplement with minerals like Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium. Sounds like you could be deficient in one or more of these which support proper heart function. A trace mineral supplement, or Alfalfa, and/or Kelp could work. Unless you are actually allergic to tea, your heart should be able to handle its mild stimulus.
