It is a sensitive topic, I know. But I'm interested in knowing what could be the potential aspects related to eating disorder? (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, etc...)

For bulimia/Binge eating I would think an afflicted moon in pisces, or in aspect with Jupiter.
Afflicted Venus thrown in the mix too...

As for Anorexia, I think one should look at Saturn (restriction/limitation) in harsh aspect to moon also.
A strong Pluto (need for control)?
Again maybe an afflicted moon, but without that aspect to Jupiter?

Since it deals with distorted body image
Afflicted Neptune in first house OR Neptune transiting first (triggering the disorder)?

I've heard chiron in sixth also? Or any afflicted planets/problematic aspects I named above happening in sixth...

There's also the fear/phobia of gaining weight, probably related to twelfth house/saturn/Neptune, but I'm struggling with the "weight part" (body image again, fear of being judged or simply a sort of OCD related to weight?) maybe an afflicted Jupiter in harsh aspect with Saturn in first house? The obsessive part could be provoked by Pluto or even Nessus?

What do you guys think?

Offhand I can only think of 2 anorexics who I know a little about their chart (I'm not counting one I believe was bulimic as I only suspect). One was a Scorpio with a BUNCH of planets in Scorpio, though interesting enough she also had a Taurus moon. She did have a Pisces Jupiter. The other was also a Scorpio sun with many (but not identical) planets in Scorpio (but no Pisces at all).

Any famous people we can look up? (This should only be someone actually treated for it rather than the gossip mags said or even the person said because entertainers will say and do all sorts of things to get people talking.)

Virgo moons can be really critical and obsessive about their bodies. My Virgo moon friend wrote a book about recovering from an eating disorder.

My Pisces moon is afflicted by squares to Mars and Neptune. My eating is erratic but my weight has been stable forever. I could still wear the clothes I wore at age 14 if they were available.

I have sometimes gone though extended phases where I have no interest in eating...I don't like eating under stress.

My Pisces moon brother is very underweight, last I heard.

But not all Pisces moons are thin, so it's not like I have a theory going.

Karen Carpenter, Mary Kate Olsen is some more. Karen Carpenter is the most known.

Ceres, Moon, Saturn, Pluto since it rules purging, Neptune may also rule mal-absorption/mal-nutrition as well as illusion, delusions and other dysmorphia.

Saturn in Cancer can cause problems with food restriction. Moon/Pluto aspects too

When I was a teen I had an eating disorder that would have probably turned into anorexia if I haven't stopped myself. I have Virgo rising, afflicted Moon (including a square to Saturn), prominent Saturn. Ceres is the apex of a t-square with Chiron and Saturn.

Hm, from my own viewpoint, I generally view pisces as people who tends to overindulge things (now again I might be wrong)
Moon being your emotions and the likes, I view it a bit as the sign that tells what you like to eat, while the aspects will tell you how you tend to eat.
So if it's in aspect to jupiter, you may tend to eat a lot, or in large quantities. If it's in Pisces you may be prone to indulge yourself in food. Or eat your feelings.

Now, it's not because you have a moon in pisces (even afflicted) or in an aspect to Jupiter that you are at risk of being a bulimic or a binge eater.
In my opinion, as in all things, I think that you need more than at least two aspects/planetary position indicating similar things (i n this case: eating disorders) to start seeing a pattern.
So if you have, say, Afflicted Neptune in first house (distorted self image) with afflicted moon aspecting Jupiter (overindulging) in pisces and sixth house (health matters), you may be RISK PRONE to bulimia/ binge eating.

In this article: http://astrologybykingsley.com/2008/01/13/eating-disorder/
They analyze the chart of a person having an eating disorder

The author claims that Taurus (and, by interim, venus) could also be a factor because it is, as he says, the "food loving sign"

Those eating disorder are, also, usually tied with a very strong hatred of self. Venus, associated with love, could be very important too.

I would say to look toward the Moon. Eating disorder are supposed to be rooted in the relationship with the mother, particularly feeling unloved and "empty"

I agree about the moon, however it's not necessary the feeling of being "empty"
Unloved, yes. To a point. You feel ugly and disgusting and you hate yourself.
It's not necessary because your mother didn't love you, or your parents were absent. Sometimes it start as a very healthy diet, but spiral down into hell.

Generally, those natal aspects and features that generally indicate challenges of self-worth/image and potential for suppression of feelings/affections (Moon, Venus), and with a tendency for introversion -- acting 'in' rather than 'out.'

So, RoseLily, you are on the right track.

However, the experience of an eating disorder is a manifestation of losing a battle for one's self-esteem/image and falling into a state of self-loathing and/or depression. This in no way is dictated by a birth chart, but shows how a person comforts themselves in this losing battle.

It is important to look at the natal chart with an eye to how a person can gain self-worth and be empowered, rather with an eye to potential disorders or 'what could go wrong.'

Hi! your comments no apply to me, I have always been thin, but I don't have eating desorders at all, even I have some of the aspects you said:

- Moon quincunx Jupiter (Jupiter my chart ruler)
- Venus quincunx Jupiter
- Neptune conjunct Ascendant and opposite Moon
- Pluto opposite Sun
- Pluto opposite venus (out of sign)
- Pluto trine venus (out of sign)
- Jupiter opposite Saturn/Mars conjunction

I think could be more related with Saturn, but not in my case

I have bad habits in diet. Tended to eat too much made me so uncomfortable in stomach. I even couldn't help crying because of feeling too full. Then I tended to eat little or nothing in the following days to lose the weight..... I think my chart ruler, Mercury conjunct Jupiter aspect should be the reason. Jupiter expands... Moon sexile Saturn helps me to control....
