No, it didn't. The only positive change, was that I had a relationship with my sister again, for about fourteen months. You also lose the constant fear and worry that's there, when they are very sick, but it's only replaced with grief, because they're no longer here.

I was in denial for a few months. I know she was gone, but also didn't, if that makes sense. I was still expecting her to show up, somehow. I was recently very upset over her being gone, and it's been almost eight years, which is really hard to believe. I had one time when it felt like she was right behind me, and I was going to say something to her, when I remembered that she was gone. that was in 2021. Sometimes I'll think, "Oh, mum will like that."
