Tr Pluto in Aquarius is I think starting to be felt by the collective, last night I had a number of dreams and it related to social anxiety and group situations etc..I think I was going to present but then realized that I needed to be preparing for this presentation for an entire month and was trying to get ready in just a few days so I told my dad that I did not feel comfortable doing the presentation and was going to opt out.

This Pluto in Aquarius energy makes me rebel against the culture of perfectionism, the achievement centered culture, the culture of I need to achieve x, y and z to proof I am worthy, the busy culture, the obsession with ambition, the competitive culture, I feel a clear rejection lately to of all these values, mind you none of these things were ever a part of my value system personally but I am more aware of how much people are servants and victims of this type of culture and I am rejecting it now in a more conscientious way.

I feel collectively people are feeling this desire to not participate in this type of culture and move away from it and enter into a different culture that is not competitive were we are not pressured to achieve at the cost of work life balance nor expected to be perfect and were we work together more collaborative utilizing each other's strengths instead of falling into a comparative competitive mindset that is divisive.

I suppose this could just be my own values becoming more clear and solid since my 2nd house is empty, me becoming more aware of cultural programming and solidifying my values since transit pluto is entering my 2nd house in aquarius.

Message boards are done, I think. Except for Reddit. I was asked if I wanted to help mod a massive board, five years ago. Not long before Covid hit. I didn’t want to. that place is so quiet now.

People who live stream, playing games, talking, or just being goofy. They thrived during Covid, but some big streamers were told they weren’t going to be given another contract for millions, keeping them chained to one place like YouTube. Large company “teams” gaming teams, game developers, too, have been mass-firing people. The owners have of course had their really expensive weddings first, and they are all still set.

^^Yeah the tech industry has been getting hit resulting in a lot layoffs which seems to be connected to this industry hiring too many people during covid but yes interesting that this has occurred during Pluto exiting Capricorn and entering Aquarius transition.

Have been thinking about your observations/input more and on one hand there is an Entrepreneur from Spain getting people to invest in a SMART city in my country on Punta Cana which is a popular tourist destination.

Yet is also true people are frustrated with social media and feeling addicted to screen time. Like its possible that what you are noticing about people moving away from Forums etc is just a general trend of people moving away from social media and socializing online, I do think that is happening. Like how many more platforms are they going to come up with, with each social platform they come up with the less I think people are going to get hyped up about it unless the new platform is really truly unique and it has a different impact on people because more of the same is getting old.

Technology will continue to advance but some aspects of it may slow down. I think people want to spend less time on a screen but is hard when its so easy to do and its everywhere. Its exploiting our reward system in our brain and making us lazier and less disciplined and also more prone to depression I feel but its also a blessing and does help us distract from that existential void but if we rely on it too much is not fulfilling.

Are we becoming screen addicts and losing our ability to socialize and connect? If so not sure what the solution is and how we are going to find balance with this. This is why some people chose to not have screens in their home. Maybe I should get rid of netflix...this is why some people delete their social media...people are trying to figure out how to get their power back from getting sucked into screen time bc they sense it has a negative impact.

I do find value in coming here and journaling my thoughts etc I feel I have shifted into making my lindaland time constructive so this I will continue to do periodically. Not sure if I will get rid of netflix but its worth considering...
I do like watching shows with my partner while we have dinner but outside of that is probably better to avoid TV. Maybe that is what I should do, I was kind of doing that, avoiding watching tv on my own but he is depressed and checks out by watching tv and then I let that influence me.

I think I need to come up with some personal rules involving screen time that support me in the way I need.

Perhaps Pluto in aquarius will make us re-evaluate our relationship with screen time and its impact us and push to find a healthier balance with it.

All I know is that I don't five a fuc* about much anymore. I am done wasting time on items, people and situations not worthy.
Pluto in Cap was very hard on me despite having a Cap Moon op Saturn and sq Pluto. I am used to "ploughing through" but this was another beast altogether! I do feel free in terms of not giving a fuc* about what people think of me. I don't care if they think I look like **** . I don't care if they don't agree with how I live my life. I don't care if they care how I dress. I. Just. Don't. Care. Majority of humans suck one way or another; me included.

^^the older that I get the less I care about what people think, I suppose that is one cool thing about getting older Charlie...you realize you have lived and only have an x amount of time left perhaps 30 to 40 more years and you just don't want to spend it giving a **** about what people think!

I think jupiter conjunct uranus in the 12th with IC in aries makes me a bit of lone wolf even though I click with people but have never been a social butterfly or have had a strong social game but I am still charming, warm and can click with people but my tendency is to socially isolate.

That's part of it.

Many tech companies want to create the illusion that their growing or over calculate their growth expectations...then hire more people then they actually need...It's all a facade to keep investors think the business is going well during the "happy period".

At one time tiktok had 20 people just to design the webpage buttons.
For an average application you'd never need more then 10 people.

If your not a developer then you'll most likely lose your job, if your an overpriced developer you'll also be at risk of losing your job.

I work in the tech industry in Canada, it's sorta follows what happens in the US... were always in envy of Texas and California though. Lot's of Canadian grads from University of Waterloo working for meta.

I survived the layoffs by going to the public sector for the time being.

Most of my time I'm bored with my job.......but I still retain my developer title and it's a cyber role even if it's just security auditing....but at least my role is secure until I decide to leave or stay, that's 100% of choice....and no I don't fear AI tools there not as smart as people say they are.

I understand how you feel, sometimes I wonder are the "inmates now running the asylum".

Maybe it's the superficial Gemini in me. I just go along with people on the surface...but once I get a "red flag vibe" about someone I try to keep a limited distance with people.

I try to be friendly and approachable, but not overly friendly.

You don't always have to agree with other people and their different opinions, I just go along with it until I can get whatever needed done...then move on.

Also, when Covid started, people were watching livestreamers a lot. I saw one guy jump up from several hundred viewers, to thousands, in that first month. Another one got over 100,000 viewers, when she was playing Among Us, that first summer. YouTube signed her again, this year. She’s helped them a lot, with their streaming. She also acknowledged that it was only because people were stuck at home, and that it felt weird to have a career high during a pandemic.

Some of these esports groups, were making silly videos, came out with all sorts of things, and the one thing they had in common last year, was their decision to “step back” and go back to the gaming.

I can’t afford to subscribe to anyone, so I don’t, but some people might also be tired of hearing “thank you for helping me to live my dreams” when they’re on their sixth vacation of the year, and we’re having trouble buying groceries. The first guy I mentioned, is going to be living in Europe for at least a year. Someone else just got engaged in Japan, to her streamer fiancé, and that wasn’t their first trip this year. She now’s posting “what I do as a stay at home fiancé” when she works from home.
