Not sure about other aspects of life but when it comes to career I have seen Mars/Saturn play out as relentless in pursuit of a goal. It may not be to achieve a CEO position per se but at least as far as what the native believes to be "success" in their eyes. It gives great focus, stamina and drive, enough so that other areas of their life may suffer an imbalance as a result. The harsh aspects may even be a little mean about it.

@hannaramaa what's your placement? Do you have sun hard aspect?

I often see those pattern (personal experience) from people who has cancer/scorpio & sometimes virgo/cap influences in their chart, besides aries.

Siiiigh! I have three or four Saturn aspects and Moon / Pluto, so... 😊 and Virgo IC, being strongly Mercury ruled too. Guess I'll just keep working at it...

Scorp sun - when we are done with someone - we're done. Also, venus in the first (just a tad narcissistic).

This isn't you Hanna. This is the FB effect. If you stay completely off FB for 6 months, you'll no longer feel this way. Trust me!

I realized today it represents is not having peace of mind...so that's ultimately my goal regardless of who is in a relationship or married, or who is making more money, who is going on trips, who is prettier, etc.

I try to focus on myself, my goals, my career, etc. and usually I'm pretty successful at this, but other times I find myself gnawing on my nails, thinking about where everybody else is "in the scheme of things".

One example...I was floating around on FB the other day (yes, stalking old HS people) when I ran across a guy that was in my grade, who is now a doctor. I'm happy for him, but it kind of kicked my competitive drive (I have Moon conjunct Mars) into gear. Which inevitably makes me insecure about where I am, career-wise.

In an actively competitive environment though, I set high standards for myself and focus only on satisfying my own expectations. I do my best to not even take into account what other people are saying or thinking. It's kind of a selfish, egotistical take on things, but it's what has worked for me in the past. I had a competitive major in college, and basically had to adopt a tough skin and boss attitude to get through it. Otherwise the anxiety other students were either purposely or accidentally inflicting on those around them would have caused me to have a nervous breakdown.

It's just when I have time by myself to think, I get anxious about whether or not I'm doing enough to better myself.

That being said, I think that kind of stress/anxiety is actually good for me sometimes (but definitely not always)...it forces me to make decisions and "take the next step", so to speak. I just have to make 100% sure I'm making a decision based on what I really want and not to just compete with another person.

I have a lot of earth in my chart - 3 planets in Virgo, 3 in Capricorn. I also have Sun & Mercury trine Saturn, and Moon, Mars & Venus sesquisquare Saturn. And of course, Moon conjunct Mars tightly.

I have saturn on my moon/mercury/asc and virgo MC and the competitive aries.

The funny thing is, other people tend to be competitive around me, mimicking what I'm doing or trying to compete with me. Some may think that I'm a threat to their job or even to their relationship while I don't even say anything. lol.

I don't know why, maybe because I'm very focusing on myself. It can be a problem too though.

^^ Interesting! You have Venus / Saturn like I do and Sun Moon square Mars. At least by sign anyway.
