Inconjunct or Quincunx, Semi-Sextile, Semi-Square, Sesquiquadrat. Do you find them important? I've never been into them, but it started to interests me. How big role they can play in someone's Natal or in Synastry?IP: Logged |

I don't tend to focus on them much unless they are involved in an aspect pattern (quincuns in a yod for example) or a near Grand trine with two planet being in a sesquiquadrates instead of a trine It creates another dimension to the chart that shouldn't be underestimated, since it can put small piece of the puzzle into place that nothing fit. IMO, focus on the major aspects first, and once the only thing remaining is only details, add-in what you found with minor. Important to say that their orbs must be pretty tight. I also suggest this: http://www.astrograph.com/learning-astrology/aspects.php if you want general insight into various aspects IP: Logged |

Yea, I see. Well I've always paid attention on major aspects, but it is always more fun to dig deeper, so will check it out. IP: Logged |

MahaKali,The 150° quincunx is not a minor aspect. In the natal chart the other 15° increments (15, 45, 75, 105, 165) need a tight orb of 1-2° and are most significant when there is more than one of them in aspect to a particular point in that natal chart; and as progressed aspects when exact or near exact (0°05' orb max, depending on planet doing the moving). So in a sense they can be more important in the progressed chart, particularly if it is a natal aspect progressing to culmination. The key is don't make mountains out of molehills and stay focused on the planets involved in the aspect not on some theoretical special effect of the geometric angle itself. All these lesser or 'minor' 15° increments act like 'little squares.' ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification IP: Logged | |
