I used Placidus always, cause it's default on Astro, but I see that people have those discussions and prefer Equal and Whole Sign system. I tried both then to compare it with Placidus and seems like it makes more sense to my chart, than Placidus system.

What are your experiences and what system do you pefer?

I've experimented with Koch, Placidus, and Equal Houses. I like how Placidus and Koch puts my Mercury in the third, but it does the same with Neptune.

With Equal Houses, I have a fourth house stellium. As much of a homebody as I am, I like to go out and experience the world too. I also ask too many questions to have a fourth house Mercury lol

Whole signs and Equal put my Jupiter in 12th house which is very me, and put my Saturn in 4th house along with Venus, and it can explain a lot problems I have with parents, my aversion to family life, I'm not homey person and so on. It's a bit hard now, since I've used Placidus all this time, but it really makes more sense to me.

Also, Whole signs system is the oldest one system we know about, I think.

I prefer whole sign system but use Placidus too.

I noticed that with a few planets i can feel it on both houses(if they change depending on the house system). My Taurus Moon is in the 9th house (using Placidus BUT this house cusp belongs to Aries), i can relate to 10th house Moon too. Pluto is in my 4th/5th house cusp. Saturn in the 8th/9th. Venus in the 6th/7th.

I like using both systems so i 'don't miss a thing' .

These are my preferences:

Placidus for natal and synastry, Kotch for things like transits and horary when you need exact timing for events. Whole house just for guesstimating when you are missing time and place data.

What do you think, which house system is the best for Composite and Davison charts?

I use Placidus only, not because it is the default choice anywhere, but because it is the most accurate house system we have to latitudes of 60-66° N/S. Past that, all bets are off.

Placidus was put to the test against Koch by master astrologer John Willner. He was a very knowledgeable aeronautics engineer, far more deft with the necessary mathematics than most of the rest of us. Placidus won. Koch is similar, but misplaces house interceptions that can be a factor for testing against a person's life. You can read more about it in his book The Rising Sign Problem.

If you find equal house seems to work better, then it is not the house system you have checked, but your Ascendant. Get the Asc verified to degree (and minute of arc if possible), and you won't need to use an phony house system like equal.

This thing frustrates me. I want to experiment with every, but want to have main one, don't know which one to pick. A lot of different opinions.

Which one you find the best for synastry?

Placidus.

I find that Whole Signs works for me, however, it is not a significant difference in my chart since most of my planets fall between three houses.

I've tested it with other people and found that Placidus just falls into place and makes the most sense.
