You could request a chart rectification. It's the most accurate and reliable way of finding out your birth time. Of course I lack the knowledge to do such, so you'll have to find someone who can. IP: Logged |

The Asc is most attracted to the Sun & Moon sign in other people. Thus, your Asc will magnetize Suns and Moons of that sign into your life. IP: Logged |

A lot of my friends got their suns and moons in fire and air signs but guys i have been attracted to romantically usually have their suns and moons in water and earth signs. IP: Logged |

I agree with Spongebob here. Do what it takes to get an official birth certificate and hope it has the time on it. However, that will not actually give you the answer you seek, which is what the degree/sign of your birth chart's Asc is. The two are not synonymous in spite of standard astrological practice. However, it is very helpful to have a definitive starting place. You can read more about this strange assertion of mine on my site linked below. You can also send me a 'test run' through my site by filling out the rectification form with your data. I am quite good at that, usually figuring out people's rising sign correctly.
You need to be open minded, so you do not pin point a sign according to the expectations of the ego.
Then, if you can do it for yourself, you need to define general tendencies that "refer" to a sign, or at least to an element. But to do that for yourself is hard, cause you are judge and party. But fire sign rising may (or may not) be more dynamic than water signs for ex, ( keep in mind to be open minded )
Also, when you start to isolate some general behaviours that are linked to some fewer, specific sign, you can try to refine your search by putting planets in houses, for ex if you have uranus in sag and you have decided you could be an aries rising because you are always on the go, sometimes injuring your head or generally wearying a hat, walking fast and/or with your body bent forward, then it would put your uranus in the 9th. Check what it means and see if it fits. OBJECTIVELY, NOT WANT YOU WOULD WANT
check especially the luminaries in possible houses, also confirm your possible rising with synastries, see in which houses people would put their sun,moon,etc If you had the rising you deducted. Don.t fixate yourself with one sign, be open minded with all possibilities, give yourself the time to ponder possible rising sign without immediately coming to the conclusion that you are this or that, cause you are not trying to find a planet / point that is tangible, it is more an opproach to life, an outlook, that you are trying to get at.
