Virgo Moons too! It's something I've observed in the 9 years I've been studying astrology, so I'm curious to know what everyone thinks.

Obviously many people with the Moon Signs listed are/have been in relationships, perhaps many are even married today. However, I can't help but notice how those with the particular Moon Signs I've listed, whom I've met and spoken to over the past years, are all happily single by choice, and told me they plan on remaining so for at least half-a-decade. What surprises me most though, is that they are all aged between 22 & 41. Men and women equally I would say.

What do y'all think?!

Could it be the house placements in effect and not the Moons Signs? Or perhaps even the Sun or Ascendant! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter!

Thank you!

i wasn't single for most of my adult life and i'm still technically not, total time spent as an adult totally single with nothing going on at all was a year i think

my current situation is long distance (intend to change that at some point) so there's a side of it that's like being alone

that being said life happens and people turn up and there's no real way to plan for being single longterm i dont think

i can deal with it, i'm not bothered, and find it very freeing to not have to deal with another person's ******** sometimes (but some of that was being in a horrible relationship from high school - 3 years ago, 36 now) so i can handle it, but it's not ideal

i have an aries moon, but my ascendant is in libra with venus and south node conjunct and other assorted aspects

Hm, I'm an Aries moon - and I think I want to or crave to be with someone. But I also love being by myself; I enjoy the freedom of not having to worry about someone else, and not being triggered by another person. I do think at some point, after some healing I will be able to be with someone long-term tho. I also don't really see myself getting married; nothing against it - I just think that commitment is an internal thing and is it really necessary. I really enjoy being free.

But Moon in Aries, Sun in Gem, and Uranus Aquarius square Venus in Taurus. Not sure if that really plays a role though haha...

What's your Ascendant Sign & Degree? Which house placement are your Moon & Venus in?

Yes Dumuzi. I like what you said there I.e "there's no real way to plan for being single longterm i dont think".

Nobody can "plan" being in a relationship. As much as they can "plan" being single. It's just that for some it works out to be the former or latter- depending on their personality and how they evolve.

Sometimes however, I do think that many force this idea of marriage on themselves. They fear the alternative ( being alone). So they make it a point to actively seek someone in order for that person to fill that void. For them, it matters not whether that I individual is a good match for them or not. They will "make" it to be what they want etc.

Whilst the rest who stay single often accept their circumstance. That people come and go. That they may or may not end up alone. And that does not freak them out as much as it does the former. They will gladly accept whatever the outcome is. So long as they are happy. And I think that that type of mentality is best👌🏿

If I am truly honest with myself, I have been more single in my life than involved with someone.

I will often lie to people who will try to "hook me up" with someone and say that I am recovering from a severely broken heart. And don't want to be in a relationship.

I think a lot of me is quite content with being with me.I find no reason to "add" anyone on to my life. And outside of the sexual urges I have now and then when I see someone gorgeous, they are often fleeting & based on that person's physical appearance and my idea of what kind of personality they have etc. Not who they really are.

I think that to be in a relationship, you have to love another person's personality. You have to love who the person is outside of you. And not as an extension of you. If that makes sense.

In my case, I tend to reflect myself in people that I say i "love". And once their true selves inevitably shows up, I say "You've changed. And I dont love the person you are" etc. But did I love them at all if I expected them to align to MY idea of who i think they are? I was just loving ME through them. No? Vain yes. But true🤷🏿‍♂️

I have been dabbling with the idea that I could be a closet asexual with some intermittent sexual attractions. But nothing long lasting. I love romance in fiction or movies. But it's more the build up to the attraction etc.than the actual "finale".

So I would be perfectly fine staying single for the rest of my life.Maybe with a little entertainment here and there. But nothing too binding.😎

There are some markers in my chart for singlehood. I have Aries Asc with Mars in the 7th(single). Venus(ruler of the 7th) conj Sat(self satisfied).

Ruler of the 5th(romance) is Sun. Sun is in 9th house(idealist) conj Neptune (dreamer). The partner I imagine I am drawn to is not real. I am not attracted to real people.

This can also be a strong indicator (together with my Mars in Libra & Saturn-Ven conj) of my asexuality.

I also have Juno conjunct Asc in Aries. And Juno is famed to be the marriage/ long term partnership Asteroid. So perhaps also viewing people with Juno in Sag, Aries,Aqua or Virgo would also shed some light as to why some people are just happy being single?

Virgo Moon in 11th house, it’s not so much a deliberate choice to be single, but I do enjoy spending time by myself. I often feel I need to recharge after being social. People are distracting to me when I’m trying to get something done. I’m more productive when I can do something by myself. It’s easier to focus on my task alone.

I’m not planning on staying single for the rest of my life but I don’t feel any pressure to chase a relationship. If it happens to come along that would be wonderful, if it never happens it’s no problem because my life is fulfilling anyway. I don’t feel lonely at all. I have my job, my hobbies, my friends, my kids and a cat. I might try dating in the near future, but I’m not feeling it right now.

Possible other indications than my Virgo Moon: Venus opposite Uranus (independent), Venus conjunct Jupiter conjunct south node in 8th house (letting go of love/spouse?), north node in 2nd house (focus on my own values), Saturn conjunct 7th house ruler (restrictions in relationships).

I have 11th Mars and feel the same about getting something done. Strangely, 11th is a house of groups and partnerships. But I need to be left alone to get things done. I might need somebody to kick me and wake up couple times per week, but if somebody is often nearby I cannot concentrate and perform worse.

I observed that with Aries, Aquarius & Sag Moons. (Not sure about the last one). They not seem like relationship material, but they look for it because they think that what they should do.

Those are my placements.

I had to think about this question, truth be told I actually encounter Aries mooners frequently.

I think Aries mooners tend to want things there way.

If they can't find a partner that shares the same vision as them there happy being alone.

But I think Aries mooners understand other aries mooners best.

I tend to initially butt heads with Aries mooners then get along with them later.

Recently I caught up with my Pisces sun/ Aries moon TA whoes now a tenured professor.

I gave her the "I want to stab you look", in exchange she greeted me with a friendly smile, hug and still remembered who I was...as if I have any importance.

Anyway no hard feelings Dumuzi!!! I think we argued in the past.

Aww, thank you for participating in my post! 😊 Ooo interesting! I guess what they say about the majority of Libra Moons nearly losing the ability the function when they’re single may not be true after all! 🤔 Out of curiosity, which degree & house placement is your Libra Moon in? How is it aspected?!

I think you summed this up rather well. 👍🏾

While I'm very open to marriage and I know that I'd make a wonderful wife, I'm not going to force what doesn't fit FOR ME. I'm happy regardless of my Relationship Status and very content riding SOLO. 🔥 I could be booed up tomorrow if I really wanted to be!! Most people today are so desperate & unfulfilled in life that they are determined to SETTLE at all costs. And I simply do not relate.

~9H Moon trine Jupiter & opposite Mars

~6H Mercury square Uranus

And you already know I have Juno in Sag!

I've been single by choice my whole life. Or rather I refer to myself as self-partnered, since 'single' tends to equate to 'lonely' or 'looking for love' in the minds of most people. As an aromantic and asexual person I simply don't have any motivation to find a partner. I'm neither sexually or romantically attracted to people, nor do I want children or have any other reason to partner up.

I have Moon in Virgo 12th. Libra Ascendant with Venus in Taurus 8th. Aries 7th house with NN and Jupiter in it. Mars on Midheaven in Cancer, conjunct Mercury and opposite Neptune.

I am the same. Although I like the romantic genre in fiction, I am not personally interested in that kind of relationship for myself and prefer my own company, honestly love how you said ' self partnered' as I believe only I can best fit that role of a partner, for myself ( only I can love and know myself best). I find it is uncomfortable just imagining having a partner.

As an aqua moon yes. I think those signs you identified are all freedom-loving so being in a relationship can be seen as restrictive.

Moon in Aries, but I also have a combination of all three, aries, aquarius, and sagittarius. I have always thought being in a relationship such a complicated thing. No matter how good my parent's marriage is, it's still looked complicated to me so I always see myself perfectly content being single.

I almost never in search of relationship. Interested to the opposite sex, yes, but not thinking to be in a relationship with them as soon as possible. I don't have co-dependent issue, so, I don't really put my mind to have to be together always.

Breaking up is never a matter for me, but the act of betrayal, toxic character, the deceitful in relationship are causing the trauma. No matter how I like being single, I take relationship seriously in a healthy way.

My husband is a Sagittarius moon, if I have to compare my Moon with him, he acts more distant, need more space, more happy living without plan/target (happy-go-lucky) than me. I can say that I am more serious and ambitious than him, not more than a Capricorn tho. And he is more perfectly content being single than me (probably if I need to rank it, his moon is in the top of perfectly being single) because he doesn't really like the idea of the need to be "responsible" and to have "responsibility" all by himself alone.

IF we would split up, I wouldn't trust him to take care of little kids, because of the less sense of responsibility and chaos (not good following plans/rules) living which is not good with little kids growing up in my opinion. He's probably a cool Dad for a teenager for a freedom, less controlling parent.

My Dad is an Aqua moon, and he is a very responsible father, always a problem solver, and focus on the good future. I kind of take that lessons from him.
