I know a person (I'm not able to a chart at the moment because I am on my phone) but they are really nice. They have all good intentions but the always say the wrong things. Are there astroids or placements for that? This person has mercury conjuncting moon in libra in the 6th house. Taurus rising. He says things that upset or make others mad but doesn't realize it.

Libra Mercury. I am one and can't help it. I feel guilty when what I say is misinterpreted, and made out to be crueler than I meant. But by then the damage is already done and it's impossible to get others to see it in my perspective.

I also have Moon conjuct Mercury, Sun conjunct Mercury, Saturn trine Sun, Moon, Mercury and Ascendant. I think these can also help aid in it.

Maybe it's not so much saying the wrong thing, it could be people are just too sensitive? But you're talking to a mercury in gemini opposite uranus in sag here & I've been known to just say what's on my mind & not really remember what I say afterwards. I only speak the truth though..gemini & sag are not known for their tactfulness. It's all a lesson in learning how to think before you speak & approaching people in away that makes THEM comfortable.

Good points, babybull, very true.

People are too sensitive and in so much need of validation from others.

When he finds out what he said is hurtful, he feels bad. He seems to just say things without thinking. I don't think he is trying to be mean but it can be embarrassing going out with him in public because he says really rude things to people. Sometimes family members tell him he was was rude out in public to strangers & he sincerely didn't mean it. You can tell he feels bad. I thought he was a jerk until I go to know him & he is really nice and caring. He just tends to say the wrong things at inaproprate times.

May I ask how old this person is? It could just be an immaturity thing.

Now I'm interested in seeing the natal chart..

@ Barbiegrl: I'm glad someone agrees & yea it's all about validation. I've been accused tooo many times of being "mean". Lol I just say "ok" & go about my business.

Yes. My ex-hubby, my ex-SIL and my grandmother were all very blunt.

I have a Sag moon and I often say things and then realize after it came out of my mouth how crappy it must have sounded.

Moon/Mercury likes to talk about their feelings, whatever comes to mind they want to express it,like thinking out loud. They are very chatty and expressive, but they don't necessarily censor themselves, they just blurt it out, both good and bad
Sag is famous for this it's almost their trademark.

Deff sagittarius mercury i have said things to people very bluntly and have realized and been told i "could have" used more tact but i really dont have the patience i like to get to the point with things i have a very straight forward and optimistic mindset it really counteracts all my scorpio/pluto aspects but i love it

I agree that is usually how I manage to guess when someone has a Sagittarius placement in their chart

So true!..

I like to call it...

quote:

Hoof and Mouth Disease (HMD) is an acute infectious disease of cloven-hoofed animals. The name "Foot and Mouth Disease" is a misnomer since the animals this disease affects technically do not have "feet."

I'm so guilty of this. My deets: Mercury squared by Jupiter and opposed by Mars.
