Saturn rules both signs, but how do the two energies manifest? What's the difference? A lot of millenials who were coming into young adulthood during the economy crashes in the US and Europe have either or, and I want to know how the two handle it. I have it as part of a 1st house stellium, and I personally saw myself becoming colder and less optimistic about the world. I figured the opposite would be true for humanitarian Aquarius. To be honest, I'm not sure that it is. Although in some ways I'm sure Saturn in Aquarius functions differently than Saturn in Capricorn I've found myself thinking less and less positively about humankind. It's not that I want to. It's just something I struggle with. I can't think of humankind in a positive light, not when I perceived bullying as me being too "different" from others to make enough friends in childhood. My social skills are incredibly poor for someone my age. Sometimes, for example, I'm rude and I don't even notice. Quite often I've found myself having to undo all the damage done to me in childhood so that I can be mature enough to survive independently as an adult. In adulthood I'm expected to function "normally" and get a job at some point. Okay, that's all fine and good - as long as the fatigue I'm stuck with can be fixed even with humanity's flaws preventing the development of a potential cure for certain things. And as long as I can still get a job even with the fatigue if in the first place no cure exists for whatever it is I have. Although I could go on and on and on I'm sure everyone would prefer that I move on from explaining my point. In general I have noticed that Saturn doesn't have a negative effect on me. I keep hearing I'll have a difficult Saturn Return and maybe I will. It's not like my life has ever been an easy road so I might just sail on by my Saturn Return thinking "This is normal. My life is always hard. I can't tell if it's my Saturn Return or if it's just my life being the way it usually is." I've especially noticed that I don't remember what happened during all the other Saturn transits I've experienced. Saturn's walk through my 1st house isn't as awful as I expected it to be. Instead I've matured and I'm trying to break out of my self-limitations. I've said "I can't do it" plenty of times like it's a spiritual truth and now I'm trying to figure out which of my limitations are real. So, what exactly is the difference between how Saturn in Capricorn is expressed versus Saturn in Aquarius? I'll have to think about this and get back to you. IP: Logged |

My mom has Saturn in Aquarius, and my brother has this Saturn in Aquarius. He has it in his 8th house but retrograde. She has hers in Aquarius in the 7th. Her biggest problem is she attracts in competent man who take advantage of her, she puts them on a pedestal. She approximately had him exactly at 30. IP: Logged |

The reason why you find yourself having less faith in humanity is because Saturn is trouble wherever it goes. Saturn is a struggle that you must work through, and when it is in the humanitarian sign of Aquarius that deals with the outer-world, that is where the struggle is. You struggle to have faith in humanity because they always do things that can hurt you and cause you to lose faith in them, and you struggle to have faith in them because you possibly may feel like humanity rejects you, so you reject it in return. The challenge here is to work towards a positive image with humanity and to have faith in them despite the issues that they continuously bring forth, which can influence you faithlessness in humanity itself. ------------------ Aquarius Sun, Merc, Venus, Uranus, Neptune Scorpio Mars conj.
