Do you think you in romantic relationships you have to have either your ascendant in the sign of the cusp of their 7th house or personal planets in their 7th house for it to be a good relationship? Or for the relationship to fully form?IP: Logged |

No, you don't but you should preferably have something in the sign where their Dsc ruler went and/or mirror the hard aspects that their Dsc ruler makes among other things. For example, if their Dsc ruler is Neptune and it's square Mars and conjunct Jupiter, than you should have something in Aries and Sagittarius or have Mars and Jupiter in the 1st or have your Asc ruler in hard aspect to them. This is only simplified but you get the idea. IP: Logged |

No, There are so many other things to consider with attraction that the rules are not always consistant or predictable. Or that rigid My thing is that if there are high levels of "double whammies" in the charts concerned, then the attraction could be very strong. With attraction, we are really honestly looking for someone who is ...well..like who we are So the more the person mirrors us, the better. IP: Logged |

for long-term relationships yes, you have to have sun, moon, venus, mars or north node in the other person's 7th and they in yours, for it to be enjoyable over a long time, otherwise the attraction phases out over time.I say this because I have studied synastry charts of more than 200 couples who either divorced or led an unhappy life, contrary to those who have been happily married for more than 20 years. What if person 1 had their south node, sun, mercury and venus in person 2's 7th house, but person 2 had no planets in person 1's 7th house? But person 2's moon is in the 8th house of person 1 and conjunct their chart ruler? IP: Logged |

depends on how far person 1 can go ignoring their needs, as person 2 puts nothing in their 7th. Only if a planet of person 2 aspects the ruler of person 1's DC sign in synastry, there can be potential for the relationship to "fully" form as you put it.

your moons trine definitely helps..but as far as being "good" goes, I quote myself stating that the relationship only in such circumstances stays enjoyable for both of the two over a period longer than 20 years (seven 3-year cycles).. if I were to add even more aspects, I would say mercuries in compatible signs, and moons sextile or trine are the most important... the most romantic, understanding and longest lasting relationships have been between couples with moons sextile, and specifically with the mans's moon in the sign before the woman's (as in his scorpio and hers in capricorn)..seems to work like magic.

with synastry, there are numerous aspects which can click to form a long lasting relationship. The sign on the DSC will be the sign you may find doing things in partnership will flow easier. This does not necessarily always point to significant relationships. For example I have aries on the DSC. I find fire influenced people easy to build realtionships with. They have been good friends to me.In syanstry that is not the only factor as other areas in my chart have been more active in my actual realtionships. I believe you would have to have something more karmic or pulling on the DSC line for it to actually be active in your significant relationships. Synastry is much more complicated than this. The DSC or 7th house on its own is not enough to analyze long lasting relationships. So it's not the actual DSC line or 7th house but more of if something more staying falls there in synastry. I do agreee with your last point. I am a Cap Moon and have dated many Scorpio Moons. We understand each other! IP: Logged |

No!I wish it were so simple and when I observe chart synastry it can be. We all seem to look for different things however, and where there is a 'weakness' in our chart, is often where we will seek a balance or a 'lesson' through our relationships. Personally - my DSC is 22'10 Aries, Mars in the 7th House at 17 Taurus. I've never had a relationship with an Aries (only a brief fling) and tend to choose men who are not very masculine. I seem to function quite like a man in relationships, so you could say I 'own' my 7th. I wish that wasn't the case sometimes. My Dad was an Aries though, with Venus conjunct my Mars! :-) ------------------ blog: http://waxlobster.blogspot.co.uk/ IP: Logged |

This! From earth it is the Moon that mirrors the Sun. So, for attraction your moon must mirror (conjunct) his Sun, or the other way around. From a sidereal perspective the Moon is magnetically attracted to the Earth (Asc)*. Thus, for attraction your Moon must be magnetically attached (conjunct) his Ascendant, or the other way around. THIS!! is attraction in astrology. *The earth is the vantage point from which we look out unto the universe. The Ascendant is the point from where we look out unto reality. Earth = Ascendant.
