Very quick. But there's two additional things.
This could be an ongoing prank that they do to each other and therefore awareness is heightened. His career is largely based on reflexes as well.
Further, if you look carefully, the reporter tips him off when she looks above his head.
I've had similar situations with friends of mine.

Still impressive though.

I understand now, the "psychic" trick is towards the end.

Curry forcefully throws a water bottle behind him at a strange angle, and it lands on the ground in the middle of a crowd and explodes, and a guy gets wet.

Apparently he hit his target. People are left wondering how he did that.
