Hi. I always see posts about recognizing Asc by someone's look. Is it just for practice and fun? I think it can be confusing. How about impression, behavior, some basic information? Isn't it a better way? When someone is beautiful like diamonds in the sky but there is no his photos on his instagram I supposse he is not a lion Ascendent. When someone is open, friendly and playful I suppose he is not a scorpio Ascendent. Am I correct?

Its mostly for fun, but some of us are very much interested in physical features related to the rising signs and planets in aspect to the Asc. A person's 'look' generally won't allow us to reliably identify rising sign. Personality is more important. And it is important to see the person first against the backdrop of their birth date which lets us see where the luminaries are and planets.

I try not to make the assumptions you have given here, but often they would be accurate. Often you can at least eliminate what obviously is not a match for that person.

Attraction plays a key role in figuring out an Asc.

If you know a person, like a parent or bestie, perhaps a celebrity, looking at their relationships will reveal their Ascendant.

If Venus is attracted to Mars, and the Sun is attracted to the Moon, what is the Ascendant attracted to?

This method won't give you the exact tob, but it will reveal the Asc.

The Ascendant and the Moon are a natural pair.

Generally, people are attracted to the moon sign that conjuncts their Asc time and again. Thus, if a person keeps attracting a particular moon sign, that's their Asc.

Nine, that's really interesting. I noticed this before. I'm a Leo rising and i know A LOT of Leo Moons. But i wasn't romantically involved with any of them.

I have not once attracted a Scorpio moon. EVER.
And according to my recorded birth time I'm a Scorpio asc.

However my best friend has a late Leo moon as does a very imoortant soulmate. I think they're both around the same degree.
My rectified asc is Leo, but early. Hmmmmm something I'm going to watch.

I am a Scorpio Ascendant, but have few Scorpio Moon friends. I attract Pisces Moon the most, but I couldn't possibly be a Pisces Ascendant. I also have two good friends with Libra Ascendant, but I am definitely not a Libra Ascendant. None of my friends have Virgo Moons.

I'm a Pisces rising and tbh, I can't stand Pisces moon, same with Aquarius moons. My rising is on the cusp so I could be either or.

It's ironic in that I don't believe there is much that can be seen physically by ASC, but like when someone makes of challenge of picking the Pisces from the Scorpio, I seem to do it. But I think it's more the expression and body language that gives it away.

It does appear to me that those with Leo ASC do have thicker hair. And both my mom and me (both third decan Leo ASC) have feline walks and expressions, but distinct from each other. My cousin says it's like my mom is the spoiled Persian put into cat shows while I'm more the feisty alley cat. And plenty say I move too silently (I was even nicknamed Koshka, or She-Cat, in part because of how silently I moved, in addition being athletically acrobatic as well as metaphorically landing on my feet and having 9 lives), one even swearing she was going to put a bell on me. I think it comes from how I was raised, having to sneak around unpredictable alcoholics, while Mom spent part of her childhood practicing to walk like a model, and in being defiant (she also has a Leo Mars). It's quite distinct, as I can make some relatives laugh when I do an impression of my mother (including her walk) and yet we're both described as having a feline walk.

Yeah, your approach is correct. Although you should have a little broader view.

I am leo ascendant and I have never ever posted any pictures on internet, don't have an instagram account.
Could you guess why?

You gotta take planets on ASC and MC into consideration too. One person I know has a very warm and welcoming aura despite having an "unfriendly" asc sign, and it's because Venus sits right on their MC.

Good point. I don't have any planets on ASC and MC but I have MC in capricorn (and capricorn moon) and I have a lot of capricorn in my apparence.

people who consider themselves important (celebs for instance) sometimes go for people with sun in their 10th. these people are usually career-oriented and therefore look for someone who encourages their ambitions or helps them climb up, or simply someone who looks good next to them and is good for their image (MC)

dicaprio kept doing that for quite some time, going after cancer women

Interesting thread

I can always recognise the asc in retrospect which I know sounds stupid and pointless but what I mean is that it really fits them, so much so that I can't believe I'd not considered it. This has led me to think of the asc as almost invisible in its obviousness - like a uniform that both stands out and is unseen.

I suppose if that obvious it's possible to sift through each and weigh up which is obvious but so far I'll discard the right asc sooner like I've a blind spot - as I say the invisibility. The only thing I can think to remedy that is to just think exactly what the function of that asc is, rather than the sign, and see if that function is performing.
