I am a Libra Ascendant. I have Neptune trine Mercury and Neptune trine the Sun. I am an creative person and sensitive person. I, also, have Pluto sextile Mercury and the Sun. If I have to stand up, I can and will. I say this to say that an article on the First House may engender conflict. That is because it is more of a “mixed” bag than several of the other houses. Please, keep in mind, one did not choose one’s charts. The only choice left to one is how to play the cards with which one was dealt i.e use the chart as positively as one can, which, usually, cannot be done unless one uses it negatively.A stellium is three or more planets in a house. The First House stellium can make for a very self focused i.e self centered person. This is through no fault of the native. It is simply the chart energies. The First House stellium is one of the most difficult, for this reason. In the same vein, the Seventh House stellium is difficult because the native may be too self effacing. I suppose the moral of the story is that the key to everything is balance and balance is very hard to attain. The chart can show us our foibles and then, we can have hope to address them. That was a long introduction to the subject. Onto the First House. The First House The First House is the house of the self. It represents the infant. He gets what he wants by crying. He wants his desires to be gratified instantly. He may throw a tantrum when they are not. He sees the whole world through the lens of the infant, which is me, me, me, me. We, all, have an infant within us. What we do with our wants and needs varies from person to person. However, the native with a First House stellium may, likely, want his desires met, as the kings of old—-instantly and with a bow. The sign of Aries rules the First House. Aries is bold. Aries has courage. However, Aries is not one to defer gratification. On the positive side, the Aries native gets over his anger as fast as it rises. I have found that the natives with the First House stelliums do not hold onto grudges. One can, usually, converse with them and get them to see one’s point of view, if one is honest and direct. The positive side of the First House stellium is courage, boldness and confidence. Let’s talk about each planet in the First House. The Sun The Sun in the First House gives a bold confidence: one that others may greatly admire. The Moon The Moon in the First House may wear his heart on his sleeve. The Moon conjunct the Ascendant is said to have a beautiful, baby kind of face. I think of John Edwards when I think of a beautiful baby face, although I have no idea if he has this placement. He just exemplifies it, for me. Wearing one’s heart on one’s sleeve is a positive trait, in my opinion. One knows where they stand with this native. Venus Venus in the First House is said to bestow beauty and grace on the native. Mars Mars in the First House may bestow drive and ambition. Donald J Trump has Mars conjunct the Ascendant. He embodies drive and ambition. Mercury Mercury in the First House may share his thoughts openly. This placement is like the Moon in that the person would share what he is thinking and feeling. Chiron Chiron in the First House may be a problem. When bullies see one’s pain, they, often, attack. There are enough bullies in this fallen world to make the life of a Chiron in the First House native quite a challenge. Chiron conjunct the Ascendant would, likely, experience this to a greater degree than Chiron in the First House. Saturn Saturn in the First House may indicate a native who has had to grow up too early. This is intensified if Saturn conjuncts the Ascendant. The Saturn in the First House native may appear serious. As a child, he may have been the classic “little old man or woman”. Neptune I have Neptune in the First House. This placement may make it hard to attain a defined sense of self. The native’s boundaries may be amorphous due to the fuzzy nature of Neptune. The most intense manifestation of amorphous boundaries would be Neptune conjunct the Ascendant. On the positive side, these natives are, likely, to be creative. Also, as an interesting aside, these natives are said to appear very different at different times. For example, if one sees several pictures of then, they may look quite different. People tell me this about myself. Uranus Uranus in the First House may be a native who is unconventional. Since the First House is about appearance and mannerisms, this native may look very different than the current social norms. If everyone is wearing a tux, he may appear in a bathing suit. If all women are wearing make up, this native may appear bare skinned. If all the people are pierced, this native will NOT be pierced. If all of the people are not pierced, this person WILL be pierced. Uranus conjunct the Ascendant would be the strongest manifestation of Uranus in the First House. This native may, also, like to shock people through his words and actions. Pluto The Pluto in the First House will, likely, be imbued with a formidable of inner strength. Pluto conjunct the Ascendant is known for his famous Michael Corleone stare. When my dog gives it to my son, he calls it “stink eye”. I never heard that before but it does define the Pluto stare. Pluto conjunct the Ascendant is the strongest manifestation of Pluto in the First House. I call it the “policeman walking up to your car when you have been speeding” look. Jupiter Jupiter confers “good vibrations” on the native. Jupiter makes others want to be close to him. I call him “Mr Popular”. Hence, Jupiter in the First House, likely, has a positive, upbeat sense and is liked by others.. He may be confident a la Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men. I have no idea about Charlie Sheen’s chart. He simply embodies Jupiter in the First House to me. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE.

I just realise I forgot to respond to you on the other thread regards to First House stelliums, sorry about that.My first house is jam-packed, ha (don't quote chart plz): I do like Neptune and Uranus in my First house, and their conjunct - it's useful for my art. However I would love to have more planets in other houses, for example fifth; but ah well! The Neptune placement does seem particularly good for my creative life. IP: Logged |

I've got Mars conjunct Ascendant exact. It makes me full of energy; I literally cannot sit still for more than two seconds. I can sit still if you give me something to do however lol. When I was younger, if I didn't get what I wanted, I would throw HUGE fits and start screaming, according to my parents. I don't remember it personally but it would make sense lol. Now it has just become a short fuse. ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

I am mostly interested in audio recording, and audio technology. I love to record and mix music. I would like to maybe be an audio recording or mastering engineer, if I can't do something with my own tracks. I love technology in general in fact and I express my art through technology (by recording and mixing it myself). It's actually quite an unusual job field for a woman to be pursuing (less than 5% of all people in that industry are women); so I think that is sort of where my Sun Conjunct Uranus affects me. Yes I wish I had more water in my chart - I would love to have a Moon in Pisces for example! Luckily my partner has loads of water in his chart, but he is earth void - so we kind of balance each other out. He has really helped me to get in touch with my feelings, and to be more empathetic...whereas I keep him grounded and in touch with reality. :-) IP: Logged |

Ah my Uranus on Asc... Unconventional and unpredictable is Me! I got Neptune in 1st house also so I am all over the place, and full of contradictions I didn't know that I look different until I started reading about neptune's effect on appearance on LL. But then I do realize that about myself now! It's annoying really... I hate myself in pics -_- I know about quick anger and fizzying off fast just as quick! My Aries Mars trines the Asc. I always tell my Bf, I'm a popcorn I do get rages (especially towards unruly rude person; when I feel like I've been taken advantage of; and betrayed!) but I never hold onto grudges! I find that pointless.

I second the Neptune description. Also, people always form opinions about me that are totally off. I'm wondering if it's b/c Neptune makes it hard for people to figure me out, OR if it's b/c Neptune makes it hard for me to present myself correctly lol.I have a 1H stellium of Neptune, Uranus and Mercury IP: Logged |

I think Mercury in the first is also the monkey-mind aspect. Jumps fast from one thing to another - well, until you tame it somehow. Good luck with that And I see it related with curiosity, maybe this open child-like curiosity, not the deep detective-Scorpio type. And maybe learning through experiencing things, kinesthetic learning. And I wrote this in third person not to sound like I'm talking about myself again IP: Logged |

Careful what you wish for lol! I'm a Pisces Moon! Phew. It has taken me YEARS to come To grips with my sensitivity. And I'm still learning everyday!!!! During the Taurus supermoon (I'm A Taurus sun pisces moon) I couldn't leave he house for a week! My emotions were everywhere and I was feeling everything ten fold. I just stay isolated when I feel like That. It's the only way! I sometimes wish I had an air moon! IP: Logged | |
