What are some indicators or red flags that you've come across while reading charts that point towards bipolar disorder -- specifically?I've noticed that it occurs quite frequently with those who have strong Libra and Gemini energies, particularly if they are challenged by some aspect with Moon, Uranus, or Saturn.

Gemini, yeah. The dual sign by excellence. In my experience, they had at least two personal planets or ASC in Gemini, sometimes with a touch of Cancer or Cap (for the Moon, in two cases).That's just my experience though. Not all Cap/Cancer influenced Gems are bipolar  IP: Logged |

Asteroid Maniac, prominently. I know it sounds crazy but I have seen it in the charts.Watch the Moon, too, for betrayal such as Sedna( bad betrayal) by the father or Dejanira( victimization) Watch the Child asteroid, too. ------------------

I wasn't clinically bipolar when younger but I had SERIOUS swings and I was on meds which only made me high. Anyhoo, I have Cap Moon sq Dejanira and Child. Nothing Gemini except in Vedic where I have a stellium in 11H. IP: Logged |

Bumping this. I've dealt with (severe) mood swings on and off throughout most of my life. Gemini Moon & Mars, both in my 4th house and conjunct my IC. Moon quincunx Uranus and Mars quincunx Uranus (part of a yod w/Uranus at the apex). Moon square Sun/Mercury/Venus. I also have Moon sextile Jupiter ("up" swings & plenty of optimism) and Mars sextile Jupiter. My sibling, who is clinically bipolar, has a similar set-up in his chart. Lots of Jupiter and Uranus aspects to his Moon. No quoting please. IP: Logged |
