I have a love/hate relationship with Uranus. Uranus has been easy on me. I have Uranus conjunct Jupiter and that is my only aspect. Uranus rules electricity. We need electricity but it is scary. There is little room for error or misstep. If one does not respect it’s power, one will pay, perhaps to the point of death. Even the movement of electricity is erratic. It moves in fits and starts, not a steady stream.Uranus is the planet of shock. It is the planet of rebellion. It is the planet of the iconoclast. Think of Lenny Bruce. He told the truth. He told it in a real and authentic way. He eschewed social conventions and let the pure light of his genius shine forth. This is a picture of Uranus. Currently, there are many Lenny Bruce wannabes but he was the first and the original, other Uranus traits. Uranus scares me because it breaks bounds. A person with a strong Uranus cannot be counted on to follow social conventions. Social conventions make us feel like things are safe. That is why we like routine. Routine is another thing that Uranus hates. As such, Uranus is the original wild card. For that reason, he is exciting. He is as far from predictable as one can get. We love him for this, but we fear him, too. Uranus shows us who we are. He tears down the masks. Hence, we have a love/hate relationship with him, as I mentioned at the beginning. This article is about Uranus Retro, so let me add that and continue. The mechanism of the Retrograde is an inner winding toward the end. The end is the understanding of the planet. A native with a Retrograde will have a deeper understanding of the planet. Hence, he will be able to use it more creatively. That is my personal opinion. The Uranus Retrograde native will, probably, struggle with being his own person. He will, probably, really want to conform, on the one hand. On the other hand, he, probably, CANNOT conform. The Retro will propel him to find his own uniqueness. It will not be an easy journey but if he sticks with it, he will have a unique voice, the voice of an individual, which is in short shrift in this society of cookie cutter pop outs. Uranus Retrograde is a rare one. Hence, there are not many personal reports. Please, comment if you have one or if you would like to discuss it more. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I have Uranus Retrograde.Although I used to have severe identity issues, this was not caused by Uranus Retrograde. Additionally, my situations often have unique solutions, because whatever works for most people generally won't work for me. Even among people similar to me, I constantly feel different as I tend to know myself better than I can explain through words. More importantly, I've never wanted to conform, and even during my identity crisis, I still felt different and like I was my own person. I'd like to discuss it more. I don't understand how Uranus functions in my chart. However, as you mentioned, I am deeply afraid of Uranus. Since I don't know what to expect, transits involving Uranus make me nervous. I have uranus retrograde. Do I fit in? In a weird way, I can. Do I want to fit in? Always did as a kid, have learned to embrace who I am now. Let me try and summarise my uranus retrograde take. I have Aquarius rising and SN, so uranus is fairly prominent in my chart. It's in the 9th house (placidus) and 10th (equal, which I tend to use most). Natally, it's square my nodes and mars, loosely sextile saturn and that's about it. All of my outer planets are retrograde - jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune and pluto. So feeling a bit out of the loop is fairly standard for me. I have always been a bit odd. At school I never fit in with anyone. I liked books and I also really liked sport. I didn't care about being different - I liked pushing boundaries and changing the rules: when I was 7, my parents overturned a local sport ruling so I could join the (boys) football (soccer) team. I liked my own company, but craved a sense of belonging. I got picked on a lot - girls didn't like that I hung out with boys, some didn't like that i was smart, others didn't like that I wasn't afraid of not conforming. As I got older, I tried to find ways of connecting. I learned psychology, body language, other languages. I started using astrology. All so I could try and give myself an edge in my relationships with people as I've always felt on the outside looking in. In my career, I have worked in many areas where I was the only female in a male-dominated section of the workforce, often becoming the youngest member of the team, or the first woman or some other minor breakthrough. I didn't go to university despite having average qualifications, and a scholarship - and went directly into a career-level traineeship, something very unusual now, and fairly rare even then. I love uranian energy. I'm actually quite proud of it. I like being a little bit unpredictable. I use it as a strength. My mind makes hugely diverse connections at considerable speed. I battled a lot when I was younger to just fit in, but now, I am okay with who I am. I no longer feel like I have to put on a show of conformity. In fact, if you call me out as different, I will thank you for it. I like it. It's not always easy - I have few friends as I don't easily let people in, and it can get lonely. But I will not change who I am in order to fit someone else's image of who I should be any more. I am not sure if this answers your question, but happy to answer others if there's anything you particularly want to know. IP: Logged |

I have Saturn and Uranus RX conjunct in the 1st H. quote: . The Uranus Retrograde native will, probably, struggle with being his own person. He will, probably, really want to conform, on the one hand. On the other hand, he, probably, CANNOT conform. The Retro will propel him to find his own uniqueness.
I can really relate to this especially w/ Saturn being conjunct Uranus in late Sag. I'm confronting all this full on at the moment with T. Saturn in late Sag aka Saturn Return. The only thing that is keeping me level headed is being a workaholic, otherwise existential woes abound. IP: Logged |

one nice think of uranus is that he don`t realy cares if you want to hurt him. With some more salt and pepper here and there he can actually finds it fun if someones uses theyr energy to provoke himIP: Logged |

My daughter has Uranus retro in her 3rd house, square Jupiter. She is very smart and just seems to know things. And a very fast learner. I can also see that sometimes she wants to be like everyone else, but doesn't know how to. But I am there to tell her how special and wonderful she is IP: Logged |

Proud parent right there! Like your description On that note, Uranus retro on my MC, 1 degree. In a stellium. In Capricorn. It's a mess, I'm telling you.
Very hard to be my own self, trying so hard to fit into the workforce but never am able to do it properly. I also resonate with what @Stellia was describing, glad you made it so well. I guess my biggest challenge in this life will be to be an entrepreneur or something.
