Basically Saturn gives Neptune a reality check. Any beliefs or illusions you had that were holding you back Saturn comes along and makes you see things clearly so you stop holding on to illusions or chasing castles in the skies. Its liberating.

I've had this three times in the last year

It is, as hypatia says, a reality check. But it doesn't always mean bubbles being burst, it can also mean that you see a dream in a clearer light - and that doesn't always mean stop.

I've also heard it is good for ending or tackling phobias or bad habits saturn (ending) a perception or fear (neptune) - saturn's good like that.

Neptune conjunct trans Saturn right now.

To me it suggests a rude awakening. When you thought u could fly, only to find that u can't.

When u have aspirations to save the world. And u find its much more complex in reality than you thought.

Now it can also suggest the realization (Saturn) of dreams(Neptune).

What does Neptune rule in your chart?

For me it rules the 5th house so for whatever reason I realized that the love I found with my ex is not something that I want to replicate again with someone else, that it cannot be replicated and that I don't want to replicate it, it was like an epiphany coming to this realization like one day BAM I could see clearly this. It was beautiful and enough that I experienced it and that what I have with my husband is enough too and valuable as well and that I am not looking for romance bc I already found love twice, that my need for romance often comes from feeling isolated, bored or to replicate my past experience with my ex. Now that I have zero desire to replicate my past experience with my ex as something about this transit made that go away this leaves me with the challenge of learning healthier ways to manage my boredom and feelings of loneliness which stem from been far away from my family as I live in Colorado and they live in Florida. I need to make a bigger effort to visit my parents more but in the mean time I call them more often and that is helping. After they visited me in September my desire for romance went away, I had not seeing my parents in a year and half, so part of that need was trying to feel a void and boredom.

Anyways I gained a much deeper understanding of my needs in connection to love and romance and a transformation happened.

So I ask you what does Neptune rule for you since you feel disillusioned about saving the world? I get that too, I have been through that....

This is really interesting, Neptune rules my 5th house also I know you are a Scorpio ASC with Pisces Moon also, so this resonates though I'll be having this transit next year at 7 degrees Capricorn, all that castles in the skies feeling, I'm having it with Chiron transiting that house, so the fact that I might be having it from Saturn conjunct Neptune too freaks me out.

Yes I also wonder how much of these insights are been reinforced by chiron transiting my 5th house too...

Add that Neptune is also in our 5th house or soon to enter our 5th house.

I just know that Saturn conjunct 5th house ruler Neptune makes me want something solid that is not based on fantasies or illusions so I don't think is a bad thing, its grounding like it makes you want to work with reality in the context of romance. If you are already learning that lesson with chiron in the 5th then by the time Saturn conjuncts your Neptune it should just reinforce what you already learned or add to it helping you gain more insights around this.

@hypatia 238

Neptune rules my 12th house. The Saturn transit to Neptune has had me realize that I want to do more to help people. But the question is still "how?"

Actually a psychology major is my future goal. I have enrolled in school. So next year 2018 is the "crunch" year.

Yes exactly what you're saying, I'm so done with illusions, cause I basically know most of those were and are created by me, romantic relationships have been SO hard for the past few years, I also have transit Pluto opposite Venus, Mercury and close to opposing my Sun, relationships have been the main focus for such a long time and now Saturn hitting 5th house ruler and Chiron is hard combo.

I'm an expect at sabotaging my relationships

Natal 4H Sag.

I “woke up” and realized families are NOT what I had hoped them to be. Not by a freakin long shot. I had dreams and visions of how it would be to have my own family and.....yeah, not even close :-/
What this did though, was that it helped me REALLY focus on work, which my Cap Moon likes!

I’m looking forward to Saturn “coming home” conjunct my Moon and Pluto! Sh1t will be done, I promise

Saturn will teach you not to self sabotage and help you get rid of thinking patterns and behaviors that lead to self-sabotage IMO.
