Link us to the actual chart.Such chart patterns show very generalized dynamics that don't appear in every chart. They have varying degrees of usefulness, depending on how tightly the configuration conforms. The 'basket' pattern you ask about is actually termed the bucket pattern in the original work of Marc Edmund Jones on chart patterns (books: The Guide to Horoscope Interpretation; Essentials of Astrological Analysis). You'll find various web pages related to it by searching with the term 'bucket pattern' with his name or with the name of Carl Jansky who also researched this (book: Planetary Patterns). The bucket pattern is formed in a chart when there is a bowl configuration defined by an opposition (or tighter aspect) with the other planet contents on one side, and with a single planet (or conjunction) in the mostly empty area to function as a 'handle.' The planetary energies of that handle become the focus for the expression of the rest of the chart. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology - by the declinations guy Expert birth chart rectification Complete rising sign descriptions IP: Logged |

That's not a bucket pattern. It's a bowl. Nodes and asteroids don't factor into the pattern with is about planetary distribution. Read interpretations for the bowl pattern. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology - by the declinations guy Expert birth chart rectification Complete rising sign descriptions IP: Logged |

That's a LUNAR RETURN chart, not natal? IP: Logged |

Woops, you're right the first one you linked was a lunar return. But you linked the same chart the second time. If you are asking about your own natal chart, I found that elsewhere on LL and you do have a bucket pattern with Jupiter as handle/outlet planet. However, your interpretation of that will have to take into account that Jupiter at 23S07 is contra-parallel Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars. That actually sets up a dynamic that is far more important and specific than even the overall chart pattern, which is general. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology - by the declinations guy Expert birth chart rectification Complete rising sign descriptions IP: Logged |

Hi Kannon, can you help clarify what that dynamic might be? Also thank you for explaining it is a bowl pattern, I will do my research on that!
