Today in class, we learned to do cornrows and I got my hair done by one of my classmates. She got it perfectly good but then she also commented that I have actually less hair than what it looks like to most people.I know Leo placements are known for having luscious locks and Scorpio placements are known for having thick hair. I compared my own chart to my sister's chart. She looks like she has thick hair and actually does have a lot of hair, also thick. Her hair used to be really dark brown and then turned black (like really black) over time. For me, I have fine hair in an adequate amount but it looks like I have thick and a lot of hair. I have VERY dark hair, almost a level 1 black (darkest level of lightness in cosmetology). Mine has also been thinned out when I didn't know what it did to the overall appearance, but it still looks like I have a lot of hair. My sister is a Scorpio rising, Leo sun, and Aries moon. I think she got the good stuff from both the Leo and Scorpio placements. I'm a Gemini rising, Leo sun, and Cancer moon. I think for me, my hair looks thick because of my Leo sun, but also manageable/flexible because of my Gemini ascendant. What do you guys think? IP: Logged |

I think my hair is super thin but people ALWAYS comment that it looks thick. Sometimes, it does, but it flattens out/goes limp very easily so it only lasts a while. My hair falls out very easily too. When I was young, I had very very very thick hair though. Extremely thick. It is not like it used to be, I'm not sure why. I think it might be my diet, I gained a lot of weight when I hit puberty and have never been able to go down. My mother used to take care of my hair too, that might have something to do with it. Once I started doing my own hair, it was never the same thickness. I also get clogged hair follicles more often now (i'm assuming bc of my dietary change after puberty). I have to exfoliate very well when washing my hair. I have Capricorn sun Aries Moon Gemini rising. Only Leo placement is my North Node, it is sesquiquadrate my Venus in Sag. I don't have Scorpio placements either, but my Venus is conj Pluto. Venus-Pluto is supposed to be in my 7th house of Sag but it is instead in the 6th house of Scorpio. Does this help? Generally I would associate very soft and puffy hair with fire signs. Thick, curly, and long hair with earth signs. Very moisturized and flat hair with water signs. Easily thinned and lacking in definitive texture hair with air signs. IP: Logged |

This is purely genetics and ethnicity. If not those things then diet, lifestyle or any underlying medical conditions can affect the condition of ones hair. IP: Logged |

Not necessarily. It's that, and astrology can play a part. Think why some people instantly know someone's rising simply by looking at them. If it were purely genetics then astrology would never ever play a part in how we look physically, and would render the idea that rising signs, or any other placements, have any say in how anyone looks at all, ever - and there would never be even any point to us even discussing how we look, hair and all, regarding astrological standards. As a Scorpio Sun and Leo Rising, I can confirm that my long thick dark hair is my raven mane, akin to Scar from the Lion King: Hairdressers routinely insist that I thin my hair for manageability. My hair tends to naturally curl, kink and defy gravity. My hair is so greatly constrictive, on the rare occasions that I brush my hair straight, the actual length surprises others. IP: Logged |

I think one can naturally deduce that MOST asians have thick, black hair with dark eyes. MOST african-americans also have thick, coarse black hair also. A lot of ethnicities have very little variance in their base characteristics. How do you differentiate them astrologically? In a crowd you are certainly not going to be able to tell by hair type alone. I would say caucasians have the highest degree of variance in characteristics depending on the makeup of their genetics. I know 4 caucasian females with Virgo rising, all who have different body types (a couple short and stalky, one almost overweight, and another taller and lean). If you read the textbook Virgo rising physical attributes, they should all be taller and lean. So...I've learned to put very little stock into pinning physical characteristics on any one sign.

I would agree partly with this. Genetics and ethnicity does play the biggest role, but there are variances between everyone (even in the same ethnicity/family) because of environment or other various factors. So perhaps astrology could help us see those as well. For example, an African American Libra rising woman might have soft and silky hair because of her maintenance and hair-styling, while another African American Aries rising might opt for a natural and thicker hair look. I was always told I have soft and silky hair (and a lot of it). It's naturally curly, dark-brown almost black, and tangles easily. It's not necessarily thick (just a LOT of thin strands haha). It thinned out a little because of a medical illness, it used to be very full and voluminous, but it's not thin looking. I used to get compliments all the time on it.I'm a Capricorn Sun, Leo Moon, and Libra rising. IP: Logged |

I really like a widow's peak on a lady. It wouldn't make or break a relationship. One of my weaknesses (in a lady) is hair. Must be my Leo Sun. My hair is fine (thin) likely related to my blue eyes. I still have it though. LOLIP: Logged |

I do find thinner hair is prevalent with Asians like chinese people, and white people with blonde hair. It is rare that I see someone with thick blonde hair. Redheads are more prone to thicker and coarser hair. If you have their genes, it doesn’t matter what color your hair is, it will be thick. The blondes I’ve met with thick hair almost always have a redhead gene in there somewhere. I do think the astrological placements can still indicate appearance, but all of one’s main planetary placements should be taken into account. Your argument could be used against you just as it can be used against astrology. If it were all purely genetics, then all asians would look alike, all white people would look alike, all black people would look alike, all latinos would look alike, all arabs would look alike, etc. Although there is a prevalance of a particular feature in one race, there are also variations. I believe this is also where astrology comes into play besides the fact that the world is mixing. IP: Logged |

I'm virgo rising. Saturn decan, plutonic. Venus Aries.I have shiny chestnut brown hair. It's very soft and silky and very wavy. I'm mediterranean. I don't need a curler since its wavy by itself luckily, since I don't like when people straighten their hair with iron. I don't like anything un-natural. My hair is not, thick, and it lacks volume. Maybe because its so silky? But it will appear volumized right after hair treatments (like honey, coconut oil) and a shower on top of that. I'm happy with it, but I would love a leo mane! I do agree with this! I mean take for exemple eye shapes. The rising and moon sign can be found by eye shapes (I have nailed the moon sign by eye shapes many times!). But good luck with that if its an asian person! All chinese, or japanes and korean etc people have an eye shape that looks alike (at least to me). IP: Logged |

I have very thick, curly, wavy, long, dark, nearly unmanageable hair. I can't use commercial shampoos and conditioners because of the sulfates and parabens. I have to use all natural products using ingredients such as coconut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter to manage it. I also don't brush it and only comb through it with my fingers. I otherwise let it be "wild." Virgo Sun, Gemini Moon, Aquarius ASC. I do have Pluto square ASC and a few other Pluto aspects in my chart. Oh, and everyone else in my family has thin, lanky hair. The only exception is my Scorpio grandparent, whose hair is similar in texture and color to mine. I'm Caucasian. IP: Logged |

You know it's funny... because people used to almost always comment on my hair saying it's thick but I have never really thought I had thick hair. But my hairdressers and family say I do. One time when I was little my hairdresser even thinned my hair and my parents were so upset. My sister has more Leo placements than me with a Leo Venus, Moon and Mercury in the 5th house but she has thin hair. I have no Leo placements except for Sun in the 1st, which I guess is kind of Leo? ------------------ I appreciate the masterpiece that is you, because your existence alone is art IP: Logged |

5th house. I can't help but think of Samson. His source of strength was his hair. Must have been a Leo. LOL IP: Logged |

Can I ask where is everyone's 10th house ruler and what does it aspect? Saturn is the natural ruler of the hair and skin so we should look here to see what it is doing. To a lesser extent, we should also look to the 11th house ruler as it is naturally ruled by Saturn as well.IP: Logged |

My Virgo Mars is my 10th (Aries) ruler. Saturn in Cap 6th close to DSC. Both are trine to each other. Cancer Mercury is my 11th (Gemini) ruler and opposite Saturn. I suppose there are two sides. One that has nice hair and one that prefers nice hair. IP: Logged |

I suppose it might be your Saturn close to the DSC (conjunct)? I have Venus and Pluto conjunct the DSC which is why some people might think I have thick hair. Saturn is natural hair ruler so it on your DSC can show hair thickness.IP: Logged |

Earth signs typically have very nice hair, often thick and long. 10th house ruler earth mars trine earth saturn sounds good for hair. Mars affects our physical appearance most outside of the ASC than other inner planets.IP: Logged |

3 degrees difference off DSC in 6th. I have fine hair but prefer thick. It is not real important but now I know to look for earth. LOL

That would tend to agree with my athletic physique but I am (was) more like a Chippendale in regards to hair. LOL IP: Logged |

Im' Sadge Sun, Aqua rising, Uranus in X house and Saturn in Scorpio 9th house conjunct Libra Pluto in 8th. I'm a brown chesnut haired girl, and the shape of my face and hair seem to be Leo like. I'm well known in my entourage for my hair. Long, straight, thick and voluminous, no curls. Kate Middleton style is most related to my look. Though Saturn is ruler of hair, in my case, Leo is much related. Saturn is in Scorpio and no dark tracks in my physics (blonde parents). Maybe I should take into account Saturn as Aqua rising been placed in Scorpio, that conjunction to Libra Pluto could mean been known for hair aesthetically speaking (so do eyes as well). IP: Logged |

My 10th house falls in Sagittarius. My Jupiter is in Leo/6th house. My 11th house also falls in Sagittarius, where I have Neptune & Uranus (in Capricorn). I guess I have more fire and Leo in my chart than I originally thought. Maybe that plays a part in my mane? Hmm. IP: Logged |
