Just a quick question for you experts, are the swift changes Uranus makes permanent? It's making a trine to my MC at the moment and I've picked up some new and fun work, however, I enjoy my current career and I don't want it to fade out into this new work.IP: Logged |

1. Nothing is permanent. 2. Uranus's changes are sudden, far reacing, long term changes. 3. It's always your choice. IP: Logged |

I don't think a transit forming a Trine to your MC will result in your career fading out if you don't want it to.IME Uranus brings changes that you long for but for whatever reason hadn't gotten around to taking those steps that create those desired changes. Uranus comes along and gives you that extra push and motivation that you lacked in order to make those changes happen. IP: Logged |

Hypatia, thank you! This totally gives me new perspective. The new work IS giving me a skill (basically forcing me to learn how to be more productive). IP: Logged |

Only when it's a death, but even at that point, you'll get the whole reincarnation thing, if it exists. I got my sister back, with Uranus conjunct my Sun. I lost her again about fifteen or sixteen months later. She's alive, just not in my life. The loss of my mother, is permanent. She went into the hospital when Uranus was exactly conjunct my Ceres, which is conjunct my Chiron/Sun, and widely my Mercury in the sixth. I lost her a month later. It was square her Saturn, so I guess you could call it her being freed of life crap. I would have preferred that it was me, but there you go. IP: Logged |

Oh, I've just read the post. It sounds like you're having fun, so just enjoy it. It won't become permanent, unless you want it to.IP: Logged |

Yes. However, the trine isn't strong enough to cause disruptions.IP: Logged |

Pluto ime is permanent. Whilst Uranus is as dynamic as Merc,Moon and Mars in its "act now" response to life. You are fortunate its a trine. That's nice energy. I have a trine aspect to my Sun right now and so it encourages some adhoc improvements in the personality by letting certain things go. I think of the planetary energies as thus; Mars transit is bottleneck energy and people are tense with Mars transits (or at-least it feels that way to the native) I would relate this energy to rush hour traffic. Its noisy, its busy and everyone is swearing. And someone is likely to end up in a fist fight. But its not permanent. Rush hour is not permanent, just cyclical. Uranus is when there is a road block. Police are trying to catch someone and end up inconveniencing everyone in the process. With the Uranus transit, expect to get late, use an alternative route, heighten your vigilance( in case someone swerves your way) etc. With Uranus it is always "ad hoc", unexpected and out of usual protocol. Uranus may last longer than Mars but is also not permanent. But what can happen with Uranus is that you as a motorist can end up deciding to use the alternative route regardless of a road block. Uranus opens up possibilities and makes one restless in continuing with the "tried and tested". Pluto is not a road block nor is it rush hour. Pluto is the destruction of the old route altogether for a new one that motorists are expected to use. Pluto is impersonal and so if the new route is longer than the old one, tough luck. It is permanent and all must adjust.

The effects of a revolution are usually permanent. Whether it's a British style paper revolution, or a hot French style revolution. Revolutionary changes are permanent. Uranus is lord of revolution. With the trine aspect, I suppose changes will come from within. IP: Logged |

In terms of outer circumstances, no.In terms of a growing realization of the Uranus, cosmic, connecting. liberating energy -- hopefully. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |

Isn't moving from FL to CO and buying your first home an outer circumstance? BC all that happened while Uranus was opposing my SUN and conjuncting my IC, those transits took place the first time I made that move (that was a big move), and the second time while it was transiting my 4th (I had to move back to FL and then moved back again to CO a few years later) and towards the end of that transit I bought my first home in CO and settled down. For me Uranus hard aspects via transit and transits to the houses leads to a lot of changes and activity involving that house. My chart ruler Jupiter conjuncts Uranus though so perhaps that is why I feel the transits more in my face. Uranus pushes me to act and make changes that need to happen that I desire. It sets my bootie on fire. It always pushes me to go after my hopes and dreams and creates this sense of urgency around that. I love Uranus. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your replies. This was really helpful. I agree, I enjoy Uranus transits too. Even the tough "stressful" ones were pretty amazing. It turns retrograde August 7th, so I guess I'll know for sure as it drifts back and forth, but I'm hoping just a fun, temporary side gig to help me learn a skill.IP: Logged |

I think the trine will just enhance your creativity or skill in a way that supports your career. IP: Logged |
