Hi guys,

Those of you who have Mars in the 1st House, how do you feel it expresses itself through your character everyday? Are you a health, fitness and bodybuilding fanatic too, or is it just me with Moon/Pluto in the 6th House and Virgo in the 3rd?

Does your 1st House Mars completely cancel-out any “soft” signs, house placements or planetary aspects you may have in your natal chart?

Do you relate more to the descriptions of “Aries Mars” or “Aries Rising”?

I ask because I also have Venus in the 1st House forming a 5” orb conjunction to my Ascendant and I’m not sure if I shoud be relating to “Venus in Aries”, “Venus in Libra” or “Libra Rising”.

you would read for mars and venus as whatever your ascendant sign is

are you a libra or aries rising? if not then that wouldnt apply to you

the planet in your first house is shaped by the sign it's in + the placement but you read an aries rising mars and venus first house as exactly what they are not anything else

edit: it's like reading any other map

Thank you! The “Cancer Mars” description barely applies to me though. The only things I relate to is seeing my virginity as something very sacred that should only be given to my husband (I’m not religious) + loving the idea of procreation and making a baby - when I can afford to of course, haha. I think the other reason I’m not comfortable ever engaging in premarital sex is because I feel like I would NEVER get over breaking up with the guy I lost my “soul” to.

Yeah I feel that Aries mars works for me, but I also have Aries moon.

My Mars is in the 1st in 0 Virgo, square Pluto and Jupiter, trine moon, Sun / Mercury. And my ASC is in Leo.

My boyfriend has it in Capricorn 1st House also.

Neither of us are health fanatics but we're naturally thin.. between ecto and mesomorphic. He has a nice body for sure

We're both into extreme music and playing in a band tho, maybe that's how it plays out for us.

Bodybuilding and fitness can be done for 3 reasons IMO.

1.Competition/intimidation- Pluto/Mars
2.Defense against threat-Moon
3.Aesthetics and Sex appeal-Venus/Sun
4.Health and body vitality- Mercury/Saturn

Most people nowadays are doing it for reasons 3 and 4. Whilst in the past, it was largely because of 1 and 2.

Mars in 1st house people would be more inclined to reason 1. They want to look "fierce".

But if Mars in 1st house has Mercury influence, the reasons are two-fold; look fierce AND be healthy or have lots of stamina for life.

If Mars in 1st has Sun/Venus influence, the reason could be to look fierce AND sexy!! To get attention from suitors.

It is the 2nd reason, with Moon reacting with Pl/Ma that the need to use the body to defend against uncertain but threatening and imminent "enemies" that I would think the most dangerous.

In the latter instance, the native keeps the body in constant anticipation of a danger or threat that could come "anywhere". It can create quite a paranoid personality.

Extreme sports or dangerous workouts could appeal with someone who has Pluto/Mars/Moon reacting with each other in signs Scorpio/ Cancer or Aries.

the thing i've noticed the most with cancer mars is actually weirdly timed aggression (aggressive when unnecessary, passive when aggression would be best) and this sort of almost controlling behavior in group settings

inserting themselves into conversations and trying to shut things down like debates and discussions because they perceive that sort of thing as negative or potentially negative

which is unnecessary to begin with, but they also tend to do it in this very demanding manner (the mothering aspect i would imagine) and can be controlling in those ways

the sex thing i havent necessarily seen

ive been with my fiancee for 14 years, lived together 13... we were each other's firsts (not each other's only though) , marriage doesnt mean much necessarily and sex isnt necessarily meaningful at all tbh (not for me), but if that works for you and makes you happy that's cool
