Broadly speaking, I don't see why someone couldn't buy a home with a Saturn transit through the 8th. We're talking "other people's money" so making a formal agreement with stern conditions (very Saturn) with a bank (other people's money) for a mortgage kinda makes sense. I do think the process could be cumbersome, take a long time and be fraught with delays and the property itself could need work, renovation, etc. but, again, I think one COULD successfully buy a home with Saturn moving through their 8th.

It'd help to look at the chart, what the Outer Planets (and Saturn) are doing, the Return charts, the Progressions and Solar Arcs to get a more complete picture, though.

I bought an appartment when Saturn was transiting at the end of my natal 4th house. But prior to that, when Saturn was into my 4th house I experienced a lot of problems, delays and frustrations related to home and real estate issues.
Are you planning to buy a home with someone as a shared asset? 8th house is a shared resources house so this issue might require more attention from you. Like you have to know where you stand in regard to things that you share with another person.

i'm waiting for subsadized housing hopefully...don't know if saturn will help or hinder
i'm also on disability so i don't know how thats going to be affected...
i'm a little freaked out
