If so, would you say you have had your fair share of challenges in life? More than most perhaps?

Would Asc/Juno be counted as "planets"? Because they are part of what makes my T-square Natal a grand cross.

Challenges more than others? I think not. But all challenges are subjective so its tough.

My mum does - sun, Uranus, Neptune, Mars.

She's definitely hard a tough life. Nothing comes easy to her. But. She's learnt how to master it in terms of grafting her way through stuff.

All 4 are between late cardinal and very early fixed, which means her grand cross is being activated by Uranus (Uranus square Uranus) and Mars (Mars return) ammg others. Which explains a lot!

I'm surprised I don't have a Grand Cross in my natal chart, because aside from your question relating to the Grand Cross specifically, I've run into way more challenges in life than most people.

Since I don't have the Grand Cross aspect pattern, I looked at the aspect patterns I do have to determine why I relate to the main question without having the aspect pattern you mentioned.

I have the aspect pattern, Thors Hammer. Jupiter is the focal point. The planets involved are Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune. Normally, I think Thor's Hammer is made up of 3 planets, but Uranus and Neptune are conjunct, so the website I used to calculate my aspect patterns may have listed both Uranus and Neptune for that reason. Based off the orbs for the aspects, the main planets involved would probably be Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune. The 4th planet could also mean a second Thor's Hammer involving Mercury, Jupiter, and Uranus.

Mercury sesquiquadrate Jupiter - orb within 2.5 degrees
Mercury square Uranus - orb within 4.5 degrees
Mercury square Neptune - orb within 3.5 degrees
Jupiter sesquiquadrate Uranus - orb within 2 degrees
Jupiter sesquiquadrate Neptune - orb within 1 degree
Uranus conjunct Neptune - orb within 1 degree

Supposedly, living with the Thor's Hammer aspect pattern is tough. I'm not sure in what way, because I haven't properly studied it or my own.

Me, I have one with moon, Uranus, mercury and Jupiter, but Jupiter only squares my moon by 9 degrees, so it almost doesn't count as a grand cross, but I definitely have 2 very strong t-squares...

And yes, my life has been really though all the way, since childhood. Actually the themes of all the houses involved in the grand cross has been major challenges for me all through life. Jupiter in 12th - loneliness and beliefs. Uranus in the 6th - instability, especially on the job. Moon in the 10th - doubts about career choice and concerns about other people's opinion about me. Mercury in the 4th - my family relatiobships have always been a huge struggle as well and very depressing.... Also it doesn't seems like it's over yet, as Im hitting my Saturn retur, and everything seems intensified.. I hope I get out alive and sane
