Does anyone here suffer from getting bored in life and wanting to get away or escape? I often will have this happen and will start researching places that I can travel to on the fly to just get away from it all and escape. Then I realize that I can't afford to because of my current financial situation and having to board my cat. So, I get frustrated and get over it but I just chronically get a sense of restlessness and flightiness if something isn't going on in my life the way I want it to and I'm bored. I'm currently living in a place that I'm not thrilled with, but I have a good job that I mostly like. But I've always felt this way for as long as I can remember. Years ago there were so many days where I would get home and sit in my car wondering if I could just crank back up and go somewhere for the weekend. And I swear, maybe it's a good thing that I'm not rich because I would be gone constantly work permitting. I have venus in 9th so I definitely get pleasure from travelIP: Logged |

3rd,9th & even 12th house placements perhaps? I think of Neptune/Jupiter as liking to "escape".Whilst Mercury( Jupiter too) can get so bored.I have Moon in 3rd with 9th house Sun,Merc,Nep,Ju .I feel like "leaving" boredom ALL the time. I always need some kind of mental/physical stimulation or exposure. IP: Logged |

Yep, me. I’m Sag Rising, Aries Moon, 9H dom...also 3H Jupiter, 12H Neptune (since Aries mentioned it). I’m always bored & dreaming of living a rogue lifestyle. And the more daily things I take on to try and busy myself, the stronger the urge gets to just dump it all and run away! Short trips satiate me for a small period of time, but then I quickly get ants in my pants again.IP: Logged |

Yep this seems right. I have Jupiter in 3H libra. Mercury in 8H Pisces, Venus in 9H Aries. No planets in 12H cancer but my mars is just teetering on border between 11 and 12 but is on 11 side IP: Logged |

This is often due to strong aspects by Uranus to personal points/planets (like Sun, Moon, Mercury). But it will be more often even more pronounced in those with a strong Jupiter coloration to their birth charts. It can even show up in those with fairly ordinary aspects, but who have Sagittarius rising. There is the Jovian urge to grow, to have some adventure. And there is the trans-personal Uranian urge to experience the unknown, to live more spontaneously. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |

Scorpio stellium in the 3rd house, Gemini MC and Venus conjunct Uranus...wanting to escape is my middle name. I even told someone at work recently that if I am not challenged, if I'm not growing or travelling in whatever I do I will immediately leave and move on to the next thing. I hate boredom sometimes I even bore myself!IP: Logged |

I have a Sag-Rising chart. Moon in the Ninth. Gemini Sun and Merc. (other placements relevant too!)I loved to explore my world. Loved talking with strangers I'd meet-- anywhere, anytime. Had taken air-flights and continental bus trips to go 'live' in a brand new town, "just" for the learning-experience with the culture and people for a month or two at a time. Sometimes would take a bus out to a different state, for a long weekend, and explore the city, etc. Did this before I was married and had children-- also during a time when I had some savings, AND, had the ability to 'work anywhere' at any place-- taking up 'odd jobs' while visiting. (Also did projects for others; the kinds that I could bring with me.) It was "stimulation" .. and refreshment. One thing I 'found' when I would relocate for an extended period of time to a place and people I didn't know, is that it helps you sort out any personality quirks or problems you have. If 'same problems' keep popping up wherever you go, then it gives you a clue of the types of things you need to personally work on about yourself (MY self! *grin*). Taking 'trips' away can really expand your knowledge of your own self, and, other people and cultures. I recommend it, 'while' you can still be footloose and fancy-free. You never know who or what kind of opportunity you'll FIND on these excursions. May find inspiration or Contacts that can change your life! .. Solve some of that boredom. They used to call that having *itchy feet*. IP: Logged |

The Taurus I mentioned in another thread. He would alternate between talking about furthering his career, and building things (which I would love), and then he would talk about getting rid of everything, and just travelling around the world, sleeping on people's couches, in hostels, whatever. That put me off. I think Uranus was working its way through his ninth house at the time, which would make sense, but he's a restless sort anyway. He had Sun/Moon in Taurus, Venus/Jupiter in Pisces, Mars/Saturn in Cancer square Pluto, also trine Uranus. I want to escape, I stopped daydreaming for a long time, and still don't do it often. I guess that's why I have trouble getting lost in books now. But I get lost through TV shows, or the rare time when I can get to the beach. I wish that I could travel more, I just don't want to live out of a suitcase. IP: Logged |
