What aspects or placements would a person who does this kind of work have? Maybe 8th house placements?

Aquarius + Virgo, definitely.

6th house and 11th house placements in general would be great at it, not only because of their logical disposition, but their desire to be of service to humanity.

Prominent Pluto to give someone a lot of staying power and ability to keep their cool - Pluto in 6th, perhaps.

Believe it or not, 7th house placements would also be good. 7th house is the "other" (it doesn't always have to mean romance), and so placements there can show a person dedicated to helping other people, and being a dispatcher would be ideal in some cased. It's also the natural home of Libra, an air sign, which are about communication and staying balanced and fair. You'd of course need to look at the chart as a whole to see what's activating it.

Moon/Mercury in 8th or Sun=Moon midpoint in house 8. I can see how this would show up.

Uranus could be prominent too via angularity or in aspect with the Sun/Moon planets.Maybe even Mercury?

I also see Mars/Uranus as a possibility. Maybe the midpoint on Sun/Moon or Mercury?

3rd, 6th house with Uranus/Mars too because the job would require innovation and quick thinking at times. People's lives are at stake.

This job "chooses" the individual. Not the other way around I think. You just "know" if you'll thrive in such an environment.

My thinking is that the atmosphere could be similar to that of a surgeon who performs very delicate incisions, an emergency response medical team when a patient starts to get an allergic reaction to a prescribed dosage.I see this a lot on "House"(the medical series).

Maybe a chef assistant in a very busy high-end restaurant OR a back-stage crew at the opening of a seasonal fashion show for a well known designer/ label etc. Pressure!!! And the ability to be innovative when things go awry is a must. ☝🏿

I have sixth house personal planets in Aries, and thought about it, but I’m usually not good in a crisis. Unless I could somehow focus in, and talk someone through something. But I can’t really picture it for myself.

They would have to be good with people, and not easily flustered. I have a cappy moon friend, who became a nurse. My cappy sister, can be good in an emergency.

I think I was only good in one, once. I just managed to stop a fire from spreading, and then I helped my mum, cleaned things up, called my dad, and was in shock all night.
