For Venus rx, you may hear advice like avoid starting a new relationship, getting married, going fashion shopping, getting beauty treatments and styles done.

Well when it comes to having a honeymoon I wonder if having it during Venus rx is a ye or neigh?

I'm sort of leaning towards "Ye" I hear that Venus rx is a time of revaluating and review. I think it's nice to do that stuff while spending time with each other away from it all.

What are your thoughts?

I think rx is a good time to plan for anything.

What usually advised: not a good idea to get married before a Venus retrograde because by time the marriage event chart Venus’ stations retrograde by progression—how many days=years later—you’ll be reevaluating the marriage/love.

So get married at least 40+ days before Venus Retrograde period

Another advice is usually, for big purchases made during the period, don’t spend money you can’t afford to lose. Meaning if something were to change, this wouldn’t hurt your financial security. For example, a friend of mine ordered a couch online during Venus Rx period, I warned her to wait that she could sense her aesthetic tastes clearly, she couldn’t be deterred; when the couch arrived, she didn’t like it at all, and the company return policy was horrid. She ended up having to sell the couch on Craigslist in an attempt to get at least 75% of what she had paid back.

More classically, during Venus retrograde period, if someone asks you for a loan, chances are you won’t be seeing this money back. However, it’s recognized that this request during a Venus Rx period is karmic... and one can humbly give charitably anyways (should one be able to afford it). An acquaintance of mine last Venus Rx asked to borrow $300, athough I only had a minimum wage job at the time, she had two small children so I felt obliged to help and understood the karmic conditions of Venus Rx, and gave the loan anyways, half-curious to see if it would be returned—never heard from this person again. This particular person had helped me a lot during my breakup, so in a way I owed her compensation and plainly wanted to honor her need, but sadly because of the actual circumstance of her asking for a “loan” she wouldn’t pay back, this condition ended the connection. Our relationship had changed shortly after, her harboring some kind of guilt, I had even told her that I don’t want the money back, but was already far gone. Oh well, I sometimes miss her but such is the life of astrology.

That's right! When I have traveled to visit husband in the past during a Venus rx. I came up with a rule that is is not a time to buy brand new.

If I was going to shop it was going to vintage, thrift, antique mall, pawn shop etc.
Venus rx = retro clothes shopping

Focused more on experiences than shopping. But I did end up getting a navy blue sweater wrap at the Good Will.
I am very happy with the purchase to this day.

I never thought of furniture during this period, but it makes sense.

I've met a handful of people who did not like their hair cut during Venus rx

Oh yeah when I traveled last year during Venus rx I had such an awesome time. But I did have a few curve balls like digestion issues, and I got my time of the month on my way. But I was there for over a week.

I started a new relationship during Venux-Rx, March 2009. It's still going. We married two years later and our relationship is better than ever. I first co-created with Spirit that I be with someone who can appreciate me as I am. All transits, especially Rx, are windows of opportunity — if we use them that way.

Retrogrades are really never any worse than the misconceptions or (misguided) intentions you have going into them.

If I were asked by a client for whether to honeymoon or not during Venus-Rx (it's never come up), my response would depend on how it affected their natal chart and what their plans were. I never give generic, all-inclusive advice, especially negatives.

Started studying astrology in 1996 via the Edgar Cayce material, then Magi astrology and declinations, then found John Willner's work. I'm a world class birth chart rectifier. That took well over a decade to learn after intermediate astrology.
