This is my goal and purpose as a Moderator.What needs to be considered is what's best for the forum. And that is for people to feel comfortable coming here. If people are verbally abusive to others, they will be warned. And if the behaviour continues without changing, they will be referred to the Webmaster for disciplinary action. People have emailed me to thank me for helping to make this a fun and enjoyable part of LL to come to again, and not a battle ground. I am going to do my best to ensure it stays this way. Thank you. I'm not one to go whining to the moderator over every little controversial thing, or to celebrate another "win" for the status quo, but I admire your mission statement. I'll admire it even more when you actually do the job you say you're going to do. You can begin by warning T for these nasty comments she made to one of the Knowflakes: quote:

Abs, I know what it's like to be a Moderator here. Thank you for doing the job do the best of your ability.I can refrain from being rude here. For one I wont be entereing certain people's threads. When certain people enter rudely into mine though, I am not going to sit back and be mousey and take it. So, I will continue to do my best to be peaceful here. I dont have a hard time with that. It's easy for me to come here and have a good time, see friends, stay out of certain people's way and just be nice. So I will continue to do so. If someone wants to come into my threads and be rude. Then I will take it from there. And if it gets out of hand, i trust you will take it from there too.  IP: Logged |

I have one request:Can the moderators please not discuss moderator stuff in public? It's really uncomfortable reading posts from you guys (like those in T's thread) talking about appropriate actions regarding this or that knowflake or whatever information you've shared with each other via emails. Abs is doing just that, making LLC a happier place. Valus' response on T's thread was provocative. She gave him a warning. T's got hers too. I thought it was an apt way of describing the fact that this forum has many times become a battlefield, where people are rude and verbally abusive towards others. No I am not talking about anyone in particular here. We have all been guilty of being rude to others here at some point, during a heated argument, myself included. I just think that this part of LL, shouldn't have to be serious. It can be, though I don't think it should have huge flaming wars, since new people often stop in here first. It doesn't feel very welcoming to me. If people want to argue, and be able to take the boxing gloves off, there's GU for that. That's really all I am wanting here. Is for this forum to have a good, fun, welcoming, warm and peaceful vibe. Like I said, I am going to do my best to ensure that it stays that way. I promise I will also do my best to remain equitable. I don't expect anyone to be perfect, and I understand that misunderstandings can occur. Myself included. Please know that I will be as fair and even handed as is possible for a human to be without being a saint. IP: Logged |

My other Board had horrible fights.One girl said she was gonna commit suicide.
Most of the Board had turned against her.
These fights feel as real as RL fights.

Yes, words can kill. EVERYONE should keep that in mind and be more respectful of their words and actions towards others here. Everyone is sensitive and everyone goes through things, some more than others. We shouldnt have to walk on eggshells because of certain people around here. IP: Logged |

Fair enough, T. Nobody should have to walk on eggshells or made to feel persecuted or ganged upon. Nobody should have to find mean comments about them in peculiar places. Nobody should be mocked or ridiculed. Nobody should be made to feel like they can't speak their mind. Respect, compassion and kindness should be required. Pettiness should be avoided.
