I want you to imagine that a large number of influential people of the world are in a group which has certain rules. Some things that this groups does is bully and abuse certain people in this group. Many in the group say they do not like what the group does, but they sure like the benefits the group gives. A few in the group do the work, much more than the others, but do not see any benefits at all. Instead they are bullied into doing what the group wants. Some in the group say they want to help the people that are being bullied, by giving them what the others get. But they do not do this. Imagine the benefits to be super human powers, like the X-Men. A Get-out-of-jail-free-card, ways of making people sway over to your opinion, like hypnotising them into doing things, and all the power and influence you could ever want. While some make an effort to help the ones in the group who are bullied, the overall theme is that these people still get bullied and controlled in ways that would make your granny do more than spit out her teeth. They complain they do not like what the group does, but continue to reap the benefits. What does this say about the people in this group, that they still keep bullying a few in that group? The ways of complaining are so complicated to do, and futile to do, because even though people say things will get better - they get much worse. All people are bullied when they talk about this as the group wants to be powerful and secretive. This cannot happen if people talk about the group. So while people are being bullied in ways that would make you more than upset, there is no way to complain or even get out of this group. This is a real story, though I wish to treat this as an imaginary case please. Just in case some people are actually in any groups like this (I'm sure some influential ones are) I would like this thread not to be locked, just so we can talk about groups like this, and not really about my situation. Why? Because they things people say about what will happen to me if I talk about these things would make any HUMAN being remember what they are. Thanks. Or take it this way, if you were a member, of this group, what would you do? IP: Logged |

Sounds like Scientology. In the end, it's hard to say, but the "moral high ground right thing" to do would be to leave if improving circumstances is not possible to achieve. IP: Logged |

There are many groups under different names, which do the same thing. You don't get a choice of when you enter this group, you are forced into it, by being influential, whether this is big time, or influential in your local area. You also don't get a choice of leaving it.The focus here is what you do as a group member who see's all the bad things happen to the other members. As if you were in the shoes of these people. I'm sure some can make it uncivil. I will stay away from any sexism. IP: Logged |

Guess we have some group members on here, who value what the group says first, rather than what is best for the website. It can be pathetic to see these mind controlled zombies doing everything that the higher ups tell them. I wonder why many have not replied to this topic. If they tell you to not reply, what does that say about the group? Just an observation. So, what would people do if they found a group member being bullied. Would you turn a blind eye? Do what they say and you don't get hurt, type of thing? Driven by fear?

Anyone here a mason, illuminati or even scientology member? Or any other member of a secret society? I find that many seem to be embarrassed about it, like the society doesn't want people knowing. It's not really pretty when they are too ashamed or scared to admit that they are a member of these societies, as they have to do what the society says, even if it goes against their own judgement. Randall, you are in charge and they like people who have influence. Are you in a secret society? At times, many do not know themselves. Who here is a pawn in a game that you will lose? Anyone got any comments about secret societies? Don't be scared, they may like your opinion. IP: Logged |

I do not join groups in real life. That is a good option, to not join these groups. They control people and use them as pawns in a game. Although sometimes, people don't know they're in a group as they didn't sign up for it. Some just get the idea that can do whatever they want, and turn the bullying they receive, onto others. IP: Logged |

Somehow I don't think they would let an 'outsider' into their lodges. You must be a mason. IP: Logged |

I know little of scientology other than the affiliation with Tom Cruise, and some celebrities. When you start mentioning aliens, it worries me as many do not believe that aliens are down here, never mind up there. I guess the fact they have celebrities giving a good image to their group is something that should really be noted. That is how these groups get publicity. I wonder what these celebrities get in return. I read stories about people who are in fear of their life if they ever leave the group. IP: Logged |

Case by case basis for me. I'll turn a blind eye to a person that's brought "bullying" upon themselves (if it can even be called "bullying" in the first place). I generally side with whoever's sensible. I could care less about the group in most cases. IP: Logged |

I innocently assume this is a metaphor for the government this day. I do agree with you in most points, but for the rest of it I would suggest to look at how the Belgian government is faring. If anything, they are an example of how not to do it. But on the other hand, they are the perfect example of what a "democracy" can achieve at this time being. There is still hope, the minority just has to speak up And speak loudly. As far as I remember, there was a woman once who was forced to pledge into the stonemasons in Ireland because she, as a youth, has "attended" their meeting and was found out.As far as I know, she was the only (or at least the first) woman documented to have ever officially joined the stonemasons. In that light I would agree with Coffee: women can be stonemasons. Well, not exclusively stonemasons, I am sure women are allowed to be member of any other secret society.

Eastern Stars are the Masonic group for women. I figured you would know that, since you portray yourself as an expert on secret societies. And no, I'm not a member of any group--secret or not. If they were truly secret, we would not know they exist, would we?IP: Logged |

Now in all fairness, I used to have a customer who would admit to anyone who was willing to listen that he was a stonemason. He even had the ring to prove it, but I doubt he actually was a stonemason because he did flaunt it everywhere...I am saying that with all the knowledge around about them, I don't think stonemasons can be called a secret society anymore. ------------------ [Insert catchy signature here.] IP: Logged |

Brilliant point ------------------ Enlightenment doesn't result from sitting around visualizing images of light, but from integrating the darker aspects of the self into the conscious personality Jung You must lose your life for My sake in order to find it .
