I highly recommend this movie. If this doesn't win Best in Cinematography, I don't know what will. It's somewhat plotless and becomes stagnant, but more insightful openminded individuals will see the beauty in the whole film. It looks beautiful, sounds beautiful. It shows the universe in all its glory and terror. It's a spiritual experience from beginning to end.For those who haven't seen it, here's a quick excerpt from the beginning of the movie: quote: The nuns taught us there were two ways through life - the way of nature and the way of grace. You have to choose which one you'll follow. Grace doesn't try to please itself. Accepts being slighted, forgotten, disliked. Accepts insults and injuries. Nature only wants to please itself. Get others to please it too. Likes to lord it over them. To have its own way. It finds reasons to be unhappy when all the world is shining around it. And love is smiling through all things.
Afterward, these scenes of the universe play for another 15 minutes. It's breathtaking! Youtube does it no justice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkUBECRoAwM IP: Logged |

It was beautifully filmed ~ I was surprised that I would like anything about a film that starred Mr. Pitt, but I love the look of it.IP: Logged |

yeah, they were downright awesome.. have u ever seen the fountain? with hugh jackman? that one deals with something along the same lines with less narrative but the effects for the space scenes in that one were awesome, too! not sure if they were authentic or not in the brad one (efx were used for fountain) but i did recognize some images so i was really hoping that it is.
