I am most grateful that Randall has a place that allows each person to be who he is. This must be Aqua at it's finest.

I think it would be neat if people told Randall what LL meant to them; what it did for them, in their personal lives, if you care to. I will come back with mine.

I will start. For me, as a Gemini, I must express myself. If you go against the natural tendency of your Sun sign( more so if you have a stellium) you will be depressed. One can not stifle one's Sun which is one's identity. Randall allowed me to find my voice. I have Chiron in the 3rd. I, still, think it has to do with not having your unique expression, even though the 5th is your creativity. At any rate, I have more things to add, but I will stop here, for the moment, and hopefully, other people will add their stories!

1. I can feed my occult/conspiracy addiction here.
2. I've met lots of people and heard lots of inspiring stories.
3. So much help given with boy troubles!

I love all the knowflakes and love coming here every day. LL changed me significantly and I'm glad I accidentally clicked on this link

So sweet of you, Ami, to start a thread like this.

I agree that LL allows each of us to be who they are. To be open and honest. One of the biggest things I appreciate is the very little arguing and judging. I know there has been some, but I rarely see it the way you would on most forums.

I love how many people are willing to help others with readings. People on here give as much as they get (for the most part).

It's helped me release a lot of tension. I don't have a lot of people in my life that I can talk to about most things (especially the esoteric). The one person who I could talk freely about these things with has recently passed away so I am grateful to be able to have similar discussions here on LL.

I also really appreciate the variety of forums on this site. Not everything is just about astrology. You can come on here and talk just about anything you would like to.

And the support here, is unbelievable.

Thank you, Randall

That was beautiful Sooth. Randall gives so much to us. I, at least, want to say thank you. I know many other people do, too!

I've told Randall plenty about what LL means to me

Though I probably couldn't say it enough.

Lindaland would not be what it is without Randalls decisions he has made. After what I have seen and 'all that', he has my respect and my trust forever.

I went out to dinner and had a glass of champagne and got kind of weepy. I think of all I have been through on LL, how I came here so very, very broken and how Randall and a few special people like IQ,Lalalinda, Sun Child,Nicki, Popcorn,Lonake and precious others helped me get back on my feet. I will never be able to give back enough for the unmerited love and care that was given to me. Like Sun Child, I can't tell Randall enough what he means to me.

this is probably the first bit of emotional stability for me...its more of a home than my own home at times..this is family, this is what family is supposed to mean...not an old mother hen nagging you every chance she gets (and has virtually become more like an abusing spouse than a mother)

we have the father figure who we go to whenever there is a dispute and he graciously settles everything...and everyone else we fight with and love dearly like siblings

i dont even love my own siblings half as well as many of the people here, LOL

I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate?

when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history

Well, this Taurus Moon tr Pluto in a packed 8th house has a hard time finding the right words...
My Saturn to the rescue and here's a summary of what I feel:
I believe we are all in here (on LL) for a "soul reason" and I see Randall as summoning us all together...

Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to All, newflakes, knowflakes, elderflakes, and the rest of LL-fairies...

gratefully,
Anongrl10

LL is one of the 2 forums i come to regularly (the other one pet forum ). i'm too scared to go to other places because people are inconsiderate, rude and mean, and just immature. it's not like that here, thanks to Randall and all the mods. really a special space.

It would be inappropriate..yea an act of high knavery to let this special day pass without thanking Randall for the gift of LindaLand which keeps giving 24/7/365.

So, to Randall, thank you so much!

Thank you too Moderators who give of your time freely to make LindaLand work for all of us.

Here goes..

This is the 1st forum I've been on. (well.. to be exact, I was on a gaming forum first, but I only visited a handful of times.. so that doesn't really count )

Plain and simple, I just really love this place. I like the energy here. I like the people, even the naughty ones.

I like the fact that I can be in my own world here, and no one would take offense (if anyone does, then too bad LOL). I like that I can be as engaging or disengaging as I want. My Uranus & Neptune in the 3rd loves that.

As far as my personal life and what LL has done for me, I've talked about my childhood here. I've talked about my mother. It's something I don't talk about often with people. As a matter of fact, I've only told like 3 or 4 friends, and it took me YEARS. And even then, I rarely talk about it with them. It was personal, and not just something anyone would understand. You have to deal with it first hand to really know how ludicrous it can get, lol. I found a few people here that did. And I've talked about it.. (typed lol) and I realized slowly, I was able to laugh at myself. But.. most importantly, I was able to finally let go. I sure as hell don't want to spend the rest of my life angry at her. And it's not a 'weakness' thing to be able to forgive. Anyway, there's a quote that explains it better than I can.. lemme look for it.

"Forgiveness has nothing to do with absolving a criminal of his crime. It has everything to do with relieving oneself of the burden of being a victim--letting go of the pain and transforming oneself from victim to survivor." ― C.R. Strahan

"Not to forgive is to be imprisoned by the past, by old grievances that do not permit life to proceed with new business. Not to forgive is to yield oneself to another's control... to be locked into a sequence of act and response, of outrage and revenge, t.it for tat, escalating always. The present is endlessly overwhelmed and devoured by the past. Forgiveness frees the forgiver. It extracts the forgiver from someone else's nightmare." ― Lance Morrow, The Chief: A Memoir of Fathers and Sons

Meeting the people here at LL who understood - meant a lot. Talking about it helped heal me. I have Chiron in Gemini after all lol.

That's what LL (the lovely people here) did for me. One of many reasons why I keep coming back lol.

Plus, it's PURPLE, yo!

I appreciate everything you said there, Alma. I was actually just going to bed but I decided to check this forum and seen your post. Felt the need to respond, I guess. I agree about the differeny degree of comfort here than with most people. Not even because the people here can't see you in person. That's not it at all. People here all seem so genuinely caring and supportive. I have yet had any ignorant or judgmental comments made toward me no matter what subject. And even the few times someone didn't exactly agree with me, the disagreements are usually very diplomatic and for the most part, open minded.

I love those quotes! Reminds me of my mom. She's been through many terrible things in her life. Yet, you'd never guess unless she told you. She remains unbroken and optimistic. One of her sayings is "happiness is a choice". I admire her courage. I've known people who have or at least threaten to take their own lives after enduring one thing my mom has. Not that I take anything away from these people--I won't judge unless I've been there. I always ask her how she does it...how she manages to cope as well as she does. She just tells me that it's unfair for her yo make herself suffer because of someone else's actions. That she's just grateful to be away from it all and around us. I remember her saying, "Forgiveness doesn't have to mean you say it's okay what that perdon did or that you have befriend that person. It just means that you must forgive what happened to you. Accept that it is a part of your past. Release the hatred."

Anyway,
There are very few people that have earned as much respect from me as my mom and my bf's grandmother. Being strong and forgiving (as both women are) are traits that are hard to obtain. At least as far as I've seen. I struggle with these things.

[ Merry Christmas, btw ]
