I just got back from the dentist. I have three cavities on old fillings- one on a 2nd molar so far in the back of my already small jaw that I might just get it pulled. Trouble is, my dentist wants to try and save it instead of pulling it. That's $200 extraction vs $1500 root canal. Pull the sucker! I don't care!My wisdom teeth are growing sideways, pushing my teeth forward and slowly making them crooked. That's a minimum $2k inevitability. At least I get vicodin... And on top of that, I don't have dental insurance! I would start drinking, but that would just make my cavities worse! I hate the dentist. Too bad the reason I'm in trouble is because I haven't seen one in like... 9 years. :\ ĦAY YAY YAY!!!!!! IP: Logged |

ĦAy Dios Mio!I haven't been to the dentist in at least 6 years due to lack of insurance. I should have gotten my wisdom teeth out 8 years ago. Fortunately, I have a big mouth. Unfortunately, I forsee a lot of dental work in my future. I feel for you, gurl. IP: Logged |

Owies I hate it when they inject anesthetic into your gums...injections in the gum are the weirdest thing I have ever felt. IP: Logged |

Going back in today. Hopefully, they'll just yank the thing out. My mouth is overcrowding and it's the very last tooth in the back. I won't miss it! IP: Logged |

yikes! one of my wisdom teeth are a bit funky too. hoping it won't grow into a full-on cavity. i don't detest dentists, but pulling the back tooth out sounds like a trouble. good luck! IP: Logged |

Just got back. They put a filling in and hopefully that's it... They even gave me nitrous oxide. Either I'm a nervous wreck or they didn't give me enough because I was still edgy. Wisdom teeth are next within the next few months. I tend to puff up a lot, so I'll be hiding from the world for that entire week. Have any of you ever watched surgery videos on Youtube? I surgery videos. The more blood, the better. I watched a wisdom tooth extraction, and it looks pretty cool. I'm going to ask to be knocked out though. The sound of scrapping up against my jaw may make me pass out anyway. IP: Logged |

Oh god... blood and gore. When I get my wisdom teeth out, I'm asking for the laughing gas. My step-mom said that when they gave her the gas she tried to chat with the surgeon the entire time, but made ZERO sense. She is a Gem ASC, though. IP: Logged |

It beats FEELING the drill!!! ROFL! I had to have a root canal and believe me, just the view of the drill in front of your eyes is enough to make you beg "anesthetic! anesthetic!"..... The funny feeling comes when the operation is over and your gums and mouth and lips still feel like HUUUUGE and numb and you can't drink or eat anything because you can't feel anything in your mouth!
