Talks about offering help, but if they don’t accept it, they’re screwed. They won’t be free. This is ****** up.

“ Trump says he will outlaw homelessness and arrest everyone who refuses to comply. He will then give them the option to get out of jail to be relocated to new tent cities elsewhere where he will take care of their needs.”

Trump Is Right About Homelessness
Jared Meyer

President Donald Trump’s return to Washington, DC took an unexpected turn when he spent more than ten minutes discussing how homelessness is ruining American cities. The speech, delivered at the America First Policy Institute’s summit, described how homeless tent cities and associated increases in crime are destroying communities across the country.

Twitter predictably erupted in outrage at his policy prescriptions to clean up city streets and require the homeless to move to shelters and get help. But Trump is right. As he stated, “Some people say that's horrible. No, what's horrible is what's happening now.” Thankfully, state leaders across the country are taking on this growing problem and rejecting failed local policies. ....................

Teasel's hatred of Trump is so unreasonable she will support the continuation of homelessness in an effort to attack him

I am ready for another approach to homelessness, because the liberal one we have had for the past 40 years does not work.

In places like Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, etc... where millions of money have poured into solving homelessness, the issue has only gotten worse.

There are number of things that could be done. If you are a homeless addict, then you get into rehab. If you are homeless because you lack housing or lost your housing, then you go into a shelter, but know that this is going to be a temporary solution and not a way of life. There should be work training and/or work placement program working with shelter organizations.

Let's pour money into making shelters safer, and in work programs, and in addiction programs.

If you want to live in your car, fine! I lived in my car for a few weeks when I was homeless. But the streets is not your home to set up camps in!
