Fox News Poll: 43 Percent Would Vote To Re-Elect President Obama
FOXNews.com
Updated October 15, 2009

If the election were held today, 43 percent of American voters would back Barack Obama for president, according to a new Fox News poll.

In what may be the ultimate job rating, 43 percent of voters say that they would vote to re-elect President Obama if the 2012 election were held today, down from 52 percent six months ago, from April 22-23, 2009.

Obama's job approval rating comes in at 49 percent this week. That's down just one percentage point from late September, but it marks a new low approval for the president --and the first time the Fox News poll has measured his approval below 50 percent.

Moreover, the number of Americans saying they would vote to re-elect President Obama has dropped. If the election were held today the poll finds more voters say they would back someone else in the 2012 election than would back the president...........

one small problem with that...the republicans have no candidate! so the question is being asked in a vacuum. people are ****** off. but a whole bunch of people will be LESS ****** off when they qualify for medicare at 55...a pity really, because it seems there is always enough sop to keep people from revolting ...

except for the passive-aggressive rebels like yourself, who think it is preferable that people starve than that obama actually be seen to create positive change. take care, sir, this vengence and spite will rebound on YOU.

Don't worry katatonic. 2012 is yet far in the distance so don't get too excited that there won't be a Conservative Republican to oppose the Marxist Socialist O'Bomber.

Well katatonic, we've found something else you know nothing about.

I am in no way a "passive aggressive" personality.

This also calls into question your astrological skill.

What astrologer would think a Leo Sun, Leo Moon, Mars in Aries, Scorp Rising with Sun, Moon, Mercury and Pluto on the Midheaven...is in any way "passive".

when the leo sun, the virgo merc are BOTH squared by saturn in taurus...passive agressive is never far behind my dear. people who try to strangle the economy in order to make the president look bad are working in a passive-agressive way. going for the weak because the jugular is too well-guarded...

and if you don't think scorp rising has the same tendencies i suggest you go back to the drawing board. vengeance and spite go right with that placement too.

and how pray tell does your late leo sun, early virgo merc and EARLY leo pluto all manifest at the midheaven?

anyway, for the record, i will apologize, jwhop, for the above criticism of your plan. it is actually a brilliant idea that may create the REAL change that we need...freedom from slavery to STUFF AND MORE STUFF...and following on that perhaps even a recognition of what is real in this life, which has nothing to do with ideology and who is deciding what tax should be paid.

i appreciate your sacrifice for the good of the whole. of course if you actually believed in our constitution you would recognize the fact that our current president was duly elected (and no doubt about the count this time).

Not jumping into a fire pit here...

But I just don't like Obama.
I've been keeping an eye on him and his actions so far are...scarey.

Too bad Palin has been bashed by the media to the point of no return...
She'd be a kick ass pres

That may be your opinion but it's just that...your opinion.

Saturn squaring my Sun and Mercury causes me not the least problem. Transiting Saturn squaring/opposing my Uranus or Neptune are big time trouble.

There's nothing "passive" about opposing a twit like O'Bomber. Nothing at all passive about that.

WinkAway, I agree with you...except for this..."Too bad Palin has been bashed by the media to the point of no return..."

Sarah Palin is now in a position to fire back on the media at will...and that's what she's doing...with devastating effect.

The fact is, the news media in general are not trusted by the American people and they're trusted less every day.

Welcome to the pool. The water is warm

i find the logic of most of those articles to be laced with a slant that is paranoid at best and wicked at worst. my opinion.

the opinion polls go up and down and are very little indication of anything. the flipflop in regards to bush will not last either.

a sailboat goes back and forth past the point it is aiming at too. does the actual direction it's headed change with every tack? does the actual opinion of your average man in the street on a given day mean anything the next day? what is the point of these daily examinations? and if the opinion poll changed between april and october, what does that signify in december?
not a lot, basically!

interesting article http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/31/recess-harassment-memo/

which shows just how genuine the protesters at town hall meetings were, and their agenda. complete with a few people's reactions to the info...

it's just propaganda pure and simple, like your friggin daily polls, quoted only when they say what you want to hear...

fortunately more people can think for themselves than is commonly assumed by the propagandists and bullies.

Sorry katatonic, your statement was never true. Leftists would like it to be true but then, leftists latch on to every Daffy Duck idea which comes down the pike.

Going Down!

In December 2009 only 43 percent would vote to reelect O'Bomber.

Now, in May 2010 only 39 percent would vote to reelect O'Bomber.

Confidence Improves, But Trust Hurts Obama

By Reid Wilson

"Only 39% of voters said they would vote to re-elect Pres. Obama if the election were held today, while 50% say they would vote for someone else. A quarter of voters would definitely vote to re-elect Obama, while 37% would definitely vote for someone else."

I don't know which is the more relevant point, that this is a National Journal poll, or that it's not an election year (so of course no one is marketing a politician). Either way, this continues to be a superfluous thread devoid of any rational merit.

Yeah, they're irrelevant.

So far, they've elected the Governor of Virgina. Elected the Governor of New Jersey. Elected the Senator from Massachusetts. Bounced a long term republican Senator in Utah. Bounced a long term congressman in West Virginia and they're just getting warmed up.

November 2, 2010 looms for the loons who voted for O'BomberCare, voted for the $860 Billion Porkulus Bill, voted to bail out the Banks...and AIG, voted to bail out and take over Government Motors and Chrysler, voted for the scam and hoax of man made global warming...Cap and Tax and have shown themselves to be the most brain dead group of leftists ever elected to Congress.

O'Bomber is next on the agenda. In the meantime, O'Bomber is about to get his wings clipped in November when newly elected and responsible Congressional members say...NO MORE.

Oh dear, Sarah the Parrot?

Get a life. It's President Teleprompter who can't focus his mind long enough to even introduce his cabinet members...let alone make a speech.

President Teleprompter even takes his Teleprompter along when he's speaking..strike that..when his Teleprompter is speaking to school students.

Oh, and who is the clown they found to ridicule Palin? I've never seen or heard of him. Does just anyone get to bloviate on you tube and be taken seriously, by say,...YOU?

Palin is effective...as her support for candidates who won against the odds shows. There's going to be a lot of other demoscats going home in November...and some of their republican enablers of the worst political agenda in American history.

Some others will have to wait until 2012 to get their "go home tickets" punched.

dear you never heard of john cleese? clown is a GOOD word to describe him...that is basically what he is, a modern day clown. perhaps you have heard of monty python and the other palin he is talking about, michael palin? never mind. he is emminently qualified as an actor to comment on palin's acting skills, which is basically what he is doing.

and goodness, man, whatever makes you think i take your opinion of obama or palin seriously? you had your mind made up the minute you saw them both. true depth there, true depth.

speakers routinely refer to notes and teleprompters are just notekeepers. a bit more elegant than one's hand, but i won't go there...it only takes a smattering of knowledge of nlp to see someone using them and to see which part of the brain they are accessing when speaking...

Yeah, I had O'Bomber nailed the minute I heard him speak and watched his face and body language.

O'Bomber has proved I was right about him.

The problem for O'Bomber is that entirely too many Americans have caught on to the fact he's in way over his head in a job for which he is totally unprepared and unqualified. After lying his way into office, he's a miserable flop as president.

39% would vote to reelect O'Bomber...and that's going down.

That's right, I never heard of John Cleese and see no reason to bring myself up to speed on the subject.

you never heard of monty python either? i guess there ARE holes in your comprehensive knowledge!! hooda thunk?

as is usually the case i would think a certain number of chronic malcontents will be voting AGAINST the administration. another predictable lot will choose between the lesser of two evils as they see it. so who runs against obama will be a strong factor in who gets elected in '12. while it is likely that a conservative woman will be more likely to get to the white house before a "radical" one, i would not bet on ms palin doing any more to beat obama next time than last, when she was a deciding factor for many who had considered voting for mccain!!

Hmmm, those chronic malcontents represent 53% of the American voting population...who disapprove of the job O'Bomber is doing as president. 41% strongly disapprove of O'Bomber's job performance while only 28% strongly approve.

I'd be careful about labeling the majority of American voters...malcontents. They're going to take care of O'Bomber's Socialist buds in congress on November 2nd.

There are things I care about and things I don't give a damn about. Hollywood is one of the things I don't give a damn about.

A british actor hardly constitutes Hollywood. He was also on the famous british sit-com Faulty Towers.

oh dear, well just to spare you the misconception that i am labelling the majority of americans anything i said "a certain portion" are chronic malcontents. and that stands. many people will vote for whomever is NOT in power. the same thing happened in england the other day. not enough for a clear majority, but enough to make the incumbent look very bad.

i don't care whether you know who john cleese is or not really. he was commenting as an actor on palin's presentation which he saw straight through as parrotting. no biggie. he also made the point, from the perspective of some distance from the subject, that obama's election altered america's image in the eyes of the rest of the world - from joke to not. and that ms palin's election would return us to the comedy channel.

in any case there is so much going to happen between now and the next presidential election that it would be a fool's game to predict a changeover in the whitehouse at this point.

Exactly. It doesn't make a person stupid nor being a traitor,Anti-American for expressing his/her opinion.

I hope she runs too. It would make it easier for Obama to get re-elected. She was factor in why he got elected.

I think that we have Katie Couric to thank too!
