After 11 years, all that is available to show at the World Trade Center site is a reflecting pool, and not even a proper museum (a makeshift one is around the corner)Construction on One World Trade Center remains uncompleted and there is no occupancy. Lease rates are only in the 60s, and it would be worse if the federal government weren't occupying a large part of the building. The who fiasco is a bureaucratic nightmare fraught with cost overruns and red tape. Not too different from Washington. IP: Logged |

yes it's a shame the building is not finished, but i think this is MORE shame.. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/11/9-11-fund-september-11-responders_n_1872349.html it took obama's administration to authorize, over the objections of republicans, the compensation of first responders et al...and it takes congress to get the money out, which has STILL NOT HAPPENED. if there is a building at all, it is a sad comment on those in charge that the property is more important than the lives that were permanently scarred.
