You portray those who want to fight global warming as people who would be advocate of going back to stone age. Although some people are interested to go far in that direction (and they usually are the hippy 'live and let live' free spirits ๔es that would not force anyone) the people like Al Gore stress the fact that the way the energy is used is way above anything the planet could sustain if EVERY HUMAN BEING ON THE PLANET consumed energy like an american (i think european are much less, but still too much applied to the entire world's population)

Less doesn't mean back to stone age. It means less imprint on the planet

I suppose Gore was on tv yesterday because it was the day in the year we had used up the ressources the planet could produce within a year. From today until 31st dec, we live beyond the planet means.

IMAGINE MY SURPRISE on learning that the stats quoted are almost 10 years old🤤😲🤤😲 but no mention is made of:

The home in question also being the place of two businesses (employees and work both using extra energy)

That it has been renovated to use solar and geothermal energy sources (how dare he follow his own recommendations!!!)

I find it odd that climate concerners don't get how bad methane is

But the whole premise of this Gotcha article just ignores that using power is not the problem, but what kind of power and how it is used.

Additionally, solar power is a non starter. The sun don't shine at night...pass it on!

Algore uses up to 34 times the electricity of an average American home. His electric bill runs to about $30,000 per year.

Solar and geothermal don't reduce the amount of power used just the carbon footprint and the cost. This is why the image of returning to the stone age to be green is ridiculous

Of course some power companies charge a lot for solar.. but you can get round that too if you do your own. Many peoole actually sell back their excess power to the grid and make money at it.
