This is definitely a setback to Democrat Prospects.

Even though a 15 point dip was suffered by GOP, they did hang on for a 5 point win.
More efforts needed for November.

1000s of Voter Id Cards for Dems did not arrive on time, this glitch will be rectified by November, but that alone will not do.

Democrats must aim for 100% Success. They did flip a New York State seat after 30 years. It is possible to go for a clean sweep.

If, if, IF there is going to be a "Blue Wave" in November, this is exactly the kind of race Democrats should have won to prove it.

The Blue Wave is more like a minor ripple!

Mi. will tell me a lot. A right winger supported by Trumpster, Sandy Pensler, is running for Gov. to replace Snyder.
He is running on Trumps platform.

IF this guy wins, Trump is still running MI. If not, woo hoo

Hopefully, republican Bill Schuette will take the seat!

I would never belittle a 15 point vote capture because that is translating into a potential flip of more than 50 seats but I would totally welcome any underestimation of Democratic Party resolve as that cuts 5-6% of overconfident GOP voters from going to the polls. Blue ripple it is then, with economic growth now 2.3% from almost 4% last quarter.
We have 6 months to go for more deterioration in institutions due to lack of funding, poor funding of infra projects due to lack of taxes [Wall Street Banks made an extra 3.6 billion from tax cuts, invested nothing back for creating jobs in rust belt], No Sign of any Wall, General Mattis praising the Iran Deal and a surge in France/Germany politically calling the shots where once USA strutted like a Colossus.

Blue ripple it is.

There will be no blue wave. Here's why: "It's all about the economy, stupid!" Unemployment is near 2% in several states. The stock market has gained almost 4.5 trillion in wealth. The Dems are defending 25 Senate seats. The Republicans are only defending 8. The Senate is safe by any stretch of the imagination. The Dems have to gain 24 seats in the House to gain the majority. While it's customary for the party of the POTUS to lose the House in the mid-terms, it has not been a foregone conclusion in the past. In 2002, it did not work out that way. And all bets are off where President Trump is concerned. I'd expect some losses in the House with the majority retained and several gains in the Senate. For example, in WV, Manchin is at 35% approval with President Trump at 87%. The Dems are $6 million in debt, and the Republicans have $42 million in cash.

The caravan at the Mexico border has Americans stirred to vote Republican to get the wall funded.

Blue wave evaporating: Millennials begin ditching Democrats
Monica Showalter

Democrats just got another blow to their "great blue wave" narrative: Millennials are no longer liking them.

They've lost nine points' worth of approval among Millennials over the last two years, according to Ipsos/Reuters, and now less than half of them (46%) have any enthusiasm for Democrats, according to a very big 16,000-person online poll of members of the demographic group.

Here is what Reuters reported:

MANCHESTER, N.H. (Reuters) – Enthusiasm for the Democratic Party is waning among millennials as its candidates head into the crucial midterm congressional elections, according to the Reuters/Ipsos national opinion poll.

The online survey of more than 16,000 registered voters ages 18 to 34 shows their support for Democrats over Republicans for Congress slipped by about 9 percentage points over the past two years, to 46 percent overall. And they increasingly say the Republican Party is a better steward of the economy...............

If you mean Millennials, you could be right but they don't seem to hold the far left lunatic democrat members of Congress or democrat candidates for office in high regard either.
